"Re"-badging the steering wheel
« on: October 03, 2013, 05:17:32 AM »
Hey Guys,

Some of you already know, I converted my Opel GT to Saturn Sky.
And except for one piece, I am quite happy...

The Problem is the steering wheel. I used a cheap emblem from Hongkong, but after some months it looks like crap.
Is there any seller of steering wheels emblems for the kappa except for koreanautoimports, who weren't able t ship one of their covers within three months...

P.S.: Stock look would be appreciated. :-)

Is the whole wheel different or just the emblem in the center?  Just buy a stock Sky airbag cover?

I wonder if someone that had re badged their Sky as an Opel might have one they could send you.  Or maybe someone would like to re badge their Sky as an Opel...

It is interesting how that seems to work out. Over here they want an Opel over there they want a Sky.

That's my big problem, too. When I removed the stock Opel badge, it broke apart in three pieces...

Replacing the airbag cover would also be fine for me, but I wasn't able to find a single cover without the entire airbag...

@LatinVenom: the user is named "ASAP digital"?!

More than 3 years ago decided to drop the Opel badge from the steering wheel.

I ordered from Tony@ASAP Digital something custom:

I used only double side band and I had no problems whatsoever in 3 years with temp between -15C to up to +50C.

Kelu  : ASAP would be nice !  But if the center ring broke in (3) peices the airbag cover will have a void in it where it came out . I think somebody in here or the BB should have just the cover W/Saturn logo that they changed out for sale or donate just for shipping cost .

1 LIL NDN
The SKY stock drivers air bag emblem is part of the air bag in its self. You can not get this cover on it's own without the airbag intact...
Source1 has the SKY air bag on sale, I think $400.....  I bought from them the Opel drivers air bag a few year ago for $600 now they are $450..
If the OP has an Opel air bag (not broken) I would exchange with him but I think I read that he broke his....
