Very Nice

I have a question for this variation.  Is this the standard white plastidip or a custom color?
And
Have you ever compared it to the saturn Polar White?

Im curious if this could be used to cover up dings and protect my paint at the same time.

Thanks in advance

That is regular white. That was the second time I ever sprayed plastidip, and the first on my car. And then I was hooked lol. I've done pearl white, its beautiful. I'm doing someone's kappa this weekend ^____^ I'll post some pics afterwords! It hides ALOT of small dings. Fills in paint gashes. Its pretty cool stuff AND it self levels. In theory you could build it in that low spot as many coats as you want, unlike paint.

And if protects VERY well. Go buy a can of dip, and mask off a piece of a window or something shiny. Spray 6 or more good coats on it and let it dry. Then peel it off and decide for yourself! When I do a car I aim for 8 depending. On a kappa, e gallons is good enough for 12 coats on my black to white theme. Spray 12 good coats and that was what was protecting my paint!

got some work done 2 weekends ago, got my drilled and slotted rotors/pads on and the spacers. i had to roll my fenders and yank the liners, but im ok with that. it looks awesome. also re did the tie :)

ill be dropping my car off next friday for the roll bar its FINALLY HAPPENING. cant wait. im super excited for how its going to turn out and finally being able to go to any track. also, my wheel gap is gone and now the car sits super mean, even with the pink.

it will be redipped at the very beginning of the year, and i will leave it one color for the whole year. hopefully.

Love it!

Did the bride seats mount on the stock sliders?
Which ones are they?

They are Bride Low Max (replicas) but IMO are a good seat. there IS difference in quality on all reps...same as wheels i guess.

they are moutned on stock sliders, but the sliders must be modified to work.

I'd be interested to see how the seats mounted up.  I'm still considering getting better seats for the sol.

Been awhile since I updated my build/intro thread so here we go!

my nrg quick release is all here, just have to find time to install it.

CAR WILL BE GOING FOR ITS ROLL BAR NEXT MONTH.

im sick of saying it, but everytime im about to drop it off something pops up.

so heres some recent photos from a recent event :) car did wonderful. I didn't do too bad either!

So did you do this yet?  After 9 months of the sound of metal on metal during normal stopping,  I replaced mine with something just almost as aggressive but a lot quieter.

yeah, they have been on since the time I posted the pink wheels/tie. I really like how my stance looks. its nothing over the top or ridiculous, but has that "im low and wide and mean" look with just enough camber. and its all functional.

and yes, I dipped the other kappa and they already did their photoshoot for GM Hightech :))

So yes, it finally happened this weekend. The roll bar is IN the car.

I know roll bars in the kappas are a very controversial subject sometimes, so id first , before posting pics, like to politely ask everyone to keep your negative opinions to yourself. The odds are, my roll bar attempt is MUCH better than yours. Especially if you have none.

This car will never see sompetition, only practice/solo events. That is all this roll bar is supposed to allow me to do. That is all I want it to do.

That being said, INPUT is welcome. I do not need "engineers" telling me how THEY would have done it. Because they should do it themselves!

ANYWAYS.

The Design we ended up using was a double diagonal. worked out great, was able to miss hacking up the center console and I ended up pulling the storage compartment lid off and I now have a functional shelf lol. Aside from the main hoop. there are two brace bars welded to the rear panel. in my opinion, in the event of a rollover the weight would be supported between the two sides of the car and not just the one brace in the center that ive previously seen.

not knocking other members bars, but this is what we felt to be sufficient.

and without further adue...

with the NRG wheel

all stripped down

just resting in position

NOW, these mods are NOT for the weak hearted. With installing the NRG quick release wheel, you literally have to remove your clock spring to make it fit. IN MY SCENARIO the pro's outweighed the cons. Your situation may be different. Same with my roll bar. I have to notch the two side kick panels and move the speakers elsewhere, but im ok with that small project. good thing I can plastic weld
