Stopped by Norm's shop on the way to Chicago yesterday and had a fantastic time. Norm is a fantastic host and obviously enjoys what he does. As he's got a lot on his plate progress on specific projects are sometimes slow but he has a lot of stuff just waiting to get shipped out.

He's got a new hood for the Solstice that he's just finished and is ready to make the mold. Those that might have thought the other hoods were over the top should like this one. Here's a few pictures.

Don't pay any attention to the different colors. The scoop is built on top of a stock hood for this mockup and will be available as the others have been with a CAI option.

That's pretty cool, thanks for the preview.  Is the back of the hood going to be open as well under the scoop?

Finally. This is going to be spectacular!  I can't wait to see this finished and on a car. Subtle, glamorous, functional (for cooling the engine bay) sexy. Just like me.

If the underside is contoured the same, I see some room for an LSx with a proper roots-type supercharger!

I can see these hoods being more popular that Norm's others offerings. Can I suggest those that are serious that they talk to Norm and get their order in right away. Might be a rum on them later.

Norm-
Similar to an earlier question- is the center relief mimicked on the underside of the hood?  Is there a few extra inches under the hood for a supercharger on a V8?

Great news! I had reached out to Norm a while back about a "more conservative hood". He sent me a pic of this one scoop option. I have been leaning towards the RK sport one but would obviously would prefer to go with Norm's as his quality is number one.

He was not sure when this would happen as the completion of the Coupe top was first. I decided to wait until spring of next year in the hope that this would happen. I am glad I waited. Thank you Norm!!!!

I should have taken pics of the new spoiler for the Sky as well when I was there but was too excited about the hood to remember before we left the shop.   :D

Rear spoiler or lip spoiler? Hope Norm comes out with a new front bumper cover for the Sky folks someday...

Lip spoiler. Think something along the line if the spoiler Rudy at Aftershock made for the Solstice for a while. It'll be for the Sky and she's gorgeous!

I guess I should have been clearer...so it's not a front lip spoiler, but rather a rear lip spoiler?
