« on: January 09, 2014, 12:35:04 AM »
started last month with slipping in 2nd and now 3rd and sometimes 4th. i currently have spec 3+ w/ spec flywheel. seems kinda soon to wear compared to the stock considering i have push or ran it as hard as i did with the stock clutch. anyone else wear the spec sooner than expected? any other aftermarket?

How many miles did you put on the clutch?

I was going to say... The spec stage 3 + is supposed to last a long time. On my cobalt. I put down 612WHP on a clutchmasters stage 4 which is not supposed to last as long s the stage 3+ and I put over 35k miles on the stage 4 clutchmasters clutch. I really wish clutchmasters made clutches for these cars..

mike did you properly break-in the clutch?

you're the first person I've heard that had this dilemma on the spec 3+

your flywheel must be filled with hotspots right now

check it out, once you pull the clutch.

you might be able to just replace your flywheel with a new one, and keep the rest.....
