FS 19 and 20 inch wheel set: Sold
« on: February 03, 2014, 04:10:13 PM »
:SALE PENDING: 10/7/2014

:UPDATED: New pictures and more wheels specs

These wheels are a Swedish aftermarket brand wheels for Saabs in 19X8.5 55ET front 5X110 lug 27LBS and 20X10 37ET rear 5X110 lug 31LBS.

I had the hub face of the rear wheels machined to sit flush with the body of a SKY or Solstice, the machine shop removed 1.5mm changing the wheels from a ET35 to a ET37. I them had them powder coated semi-gloss black. The "2 piece look" wheel rim bolts were powder coated red but yet not installed.

Will fit tires sizes 265-275/35/19 front and 285-295/30/20 rear on a SKY or Solstice maybe wider.

Last minute I changed my mind and used different wheels. Tires were never mounted, they are in like new condition. My total cost was almost $1300.

Selling for $800

I can have them re-powder coated a color of your choice for $200

Specifications
FRONT:    19X8.5   55ET    5X110 lug    27LBS
REAR:      20X10    37ET    5X110 lug    31LBS

Does machining the hub face weaken the wheel?

No, I have done the same on many sets of wheels with no change other than ET (Offset).

How much do you take off when machining? And how does removing metal not weaken the wheels?  I have never heard of this being done before.

GJ, the machine shop removed about 1.5mm off the hub face changing the ET from ET35 to ET37. This small amount of metal removal won't effect the strength in any way. Manufactures do this to change ET sizes for custom fit applications.

Still for sale!

Am I simply being persnickety by disagreeing that "This small amount of metal removal won't effect the strength in any way. "
I disagree with "in any way"

It has to be weaker. Maybe not weak enough to be a problem, but it can't be the same.

Sorry for being argumentative.

GJ Not surprised... sure I'll concede.

It is probably weaker... by a fraction of a percent.

Still for sale!

These wheels are still for sale!

I'd like to get $800 but I'll take reasonable offers.

You're saving yourself for your wedding - to jump on them (who?). Since it's your wedding I hope you can....

Sent you a PM, cdnite. Also, just to make sure the OEM wheel center caps fit into these wheels? And they are still currently black in color?

A few more questions. Will they bolt up without any spacers/ have enough clearance for the brake calipers? Can I use the OEM lugnuts or do I have to buy longer wheel studs and/ or new lugnuts? You speak of "wheel rim bolts were powder coated red but yet not installed." Are they still red and are included in this deal? Anything else I need to know?

No spacers needed, clear stock and aftermarket rotors, you can use OEM studs and nuts, rim bolts are still red and are included.

Not sure what else you could want to know... I feel like I have posted everything there is about this wheel set.

^ yes very round, in fact they are extra extra round, following these estimators of the parameters of the circle

\hat{R} = \frac{1}{N}\sum\limits_{i=1}^N R_i

\hat{a} = \frac{2}{N} \sum\limits_{i=1}^N R_i \cos{\theta_i}

\hat{b} = \frac{2}{N} \sum\limits_{i=1}^N R_i \sin{\theta_i}
