FS: 2008 GXP Convertible
« on: February 15, 2014, 01:28:43 AM »
This is more of a feeler to gauge any interest because I may potentially trade in my Solstice on another car, but would rather offer it here where others may appreciate what is done.

My car is a 2008 GXP
43,000 miles
manual
all options available for a GXP
4 almost new tires, less than 9 months
Rear Diff and transmission fluid changed at 35,000 miles - redline synthetic
New spark plugs at 35,000 miles
New water pump at 40,000 miles
Oil always changed at 5,000 miles with Mobil 1 synthetic

Options I have added:

Trifecta Tune
Magnaflow Catback exhaust
Custom made 3/8" backbone, similar to what DDMWorks sells
B&G lowering springs (still have factory springs)
Leather stitched center armrest
18" Vauxhall VXR wheels
20% tint on side windows, 5% on rear window
Front GM splash guards

I am thinking $16,500 as it sits now, but of course am open to offers as well as removing parts to reinstall OEM components. If there are any parts that anyone may want PM me with that interest as well. If it comes to trading the car I will remove all modifications and revert to stock.

Please PM me with any inquiries. I also have a ton of additional pictures, but did not want to overcrowd the post and can send them via PM or email.

Thank you.

Car looks great. I love the wheels and the headlights and about the same mileage as mine has. Good luck with the sale if you decide to let her go.

Just trying to do my part...

Damn. That's a clean, good looking car.  I am in the market for a gas sipping commuter car.....  I wonder if I could convince myself this is economical?

Funny thing is that's one of the ways I convinced myself when I bought the GXP. I kept telling everyone I'm going from a v8 to a 4, of course it will save me money... :D I do get 24-25 consistently around town so I can't complain about that.

Thank you. The wheels are Vauxhall VXR reps 18x8 offset 42. I really like how they turned out,  but I had to search forever to find them. If you look at the Buick regal gs those are the wheels but in 19", which is why I avoided those.  I just didn't want to run that low profile of a tire with the roads around here.

They are... or were Europe only, but now of course after I struggled to locate a set they are being offered by some sellers on ebay. Don't think the ebay sets are the same quality.

They are off of a Buick Regal GS.  That is why you can find them in America now everywhere.

That's correct, but as I mentioned above the gs uses 19" where the Vauxhall is 18". I didn't want to run. 19" because of the roads here, plus not as many tire options.

Looks like the sale is going to fall through, the buyer isn't going to get approved for the loan. At this point the car is still available.

I may be interested in backbone, armrest, and front splash guards...would you consider selling those 3? Are the splash guards painted?

Had a ton of interest through ebay, but when it comes down to doing the deal all have fallen through. I've lowered the price to $15,750 before I trade it in. Hoping not to go that route, dealer offered me $15,000, but I'd rather the car go to another enthusiast.
