Dash HAWK
« on: July 24, 2014, 09:57:21 PM »
Looking for a Dash Hawk with the upgrades that where available from MSD my pillar pod currently has a water temp gauge  and oil pressure gauge and my boost gauge is mounted on my dash. I like to be able to monitor this stuff without changing settings but I like all the info that one of these units provides .Thanks in advance

Yea I'm aware that they don't make them anymore that's why it's tough to find one even a used one and the Dash Hawk is the one I'm interested in..From what I have read and emailed a company Street Unit Performance in Florida that used to sell these there were  upgrades that were available from MSD on these units.I have a friend who has one and he really likes it that's why I was looking for one .If anyone knows of something similar and have used it the info would be appreciated.

Ask Elff because he knows more about this than me but from what I recall there is a group that is making an iphone app version of the dash hawk.  I thought they were part of the original dash hawk group but split off to do the app version.  I seem to remember it being something like dash hawg boss.  So if you have an iphone or other apple device you might be in business.

I think Kelu has one of the app versions too.

Thanks for the info but here is the problem first I'm an non  tech guy living in a high tech world don't really know what an app is and it probably won't work on my flip phone  :lol:second I want to be able to mount something in the car so I can monitor things as I drive that's why I have a pillar pod with gauges in the first place and I don't understand the benefit of having a program loaded into a phone it might be great when you stop but it has to be a tough  trying to drive and looking at a little phone screen.

This would be a lot more clear if you just went to the website Kelu posted and watched the videos.

Wow
the Dashboss can now do a CASE relearn
No more need to take the car to a dealer for certain situations.
Check this out

No it isn't
The Dashawk had it but I don't remember the  Dashboss originally coming with that functionality.
They keep upgrading it and adding supported vehicles.

and
The Dashhawk is no longer available.
I am not sure what other Smartphone products can do that?
I know DashCommand can not
I don't use Droidz so maybe someone who uses Torque can chime in.

Sting: you can always get a ipod touch for cheap, which is identical with an iphone except the phone functions and used as a stand alone device for this ;)
