Anyone know why I see expired vendor in the member list? Is he not around anymore? My hubby wants to buy me a wind restrictor for my birthday... :(

I suspect that is because they were a supporting vendor (they pay a fee/year) and then when in came time for them to pay the next years fee they forgot to send Joe a check.

So if you order from them remind them they need to correct their supporting vendor status at Kappa Performance by sending some money Joe's way.

They just had a Christmas in July sale with 15% off , the discount code was July .Might not hurt to drop them an email and see if they might still honor this

SA is correct. Wind Restrictor is still in business. They chose to no longer support KP forum as it was not a sound financial investment for them.

If you are not interested in all the fancy lights and etchings on a WindRestricter I picked one up on Ebay a couple of years ago for  less then $100.00  and it does the job and was easy to install still on car with no issues  just look at the seller ratings

Thanks, but I want the Wind Restrictor. I'm assuming the one on eBay is a different brand, right?

There are a couple of people who have been selling these on EBay for the last few years and now I see that that some people are offering etching as well for a decent price. I'm not really into all the bling that some people have with these I got it for a purpose and it serves it .So I guess what you have to ask yourself is what are you looking for if you want lights and fancy etchings then go with WindRestrictor  if all you want is a plain piece that serves it's purpose for a decent price you have other options .

Whatever you get, make sure it comes with a warranty.  I've had my windbreaker develop spider cracks where the edge makes contact with the tulip panel.  The first one I purchased was from Ebay and it did not have a warranty.  The second one was from a much better vendor and he offers a warranty.  he is replacing the cracked windscreen under warranty.  I would highly recommend this vendor but he is not a supporting vendor on this site so I will not do so in public. His service is outstanding and prices are very reasonable.

Cant remember which one i have but its tempered glass.  The first time i closed the trunk lid and saw it bow i was like OH WOW is it supposed to do that!!!!!!  Never given me any trouble and i prefer glass over acrylic or polycarb.

I've had my windrestrictor on my sky for over 4 years it's never been removed, and it still is like new no spider cracking or dulling over time. With this product you do get what you pay for.

I bought one (windrestrictor) back in may. I opted for the lighted version. you can get a non lighted from them for less $ than the one on ebay I saw. I liked the lighted up one, it lights up red and adds to alert the dumba$$'s out there when I hit the brakes. Had a similar type of thing with my bike, it would flash the brakes and oscillate the brake light mode for the ,ahem, dumba$$'s out there.    :2c:

Oh yeah, the restrictor looks good no cracks or problems after 3000 top down highway miles on it.

I received mine this morning and I am very happy. I will be installing it later on today or Friday. I can't wait to take a picture and show Ashil. I examined it carefully and I don't see any flaws, nothing! The finishing is fantastic. I'm kinda funny that way. I examine everything I buy.

Man they were fast in delivery. Two days after I ordered it. I had to get one. Their discount was too hard to resist.

:)
