CUB Pro-101 TPMS (learn/set) tool on clearance at Tire Rack
« on: August 01, 2014, 06:22:16 PM »
Works for GM cars (including ours) to learn/train TPMS when you swap your wheels.  On sale at Tire Rack (I just ordered one) for $20 + $8.50 shipping: http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/detail.jsp?ID=177

Yes, I know you can learn you TPMS to your car without this, but this makes it much easier - and is cheap!  (And I can never get my car to work properly anyway.)

Video of some guy using it on his Caddy:

Great deal but as I have three cars and only one of which this will work on I'm hoping I can get one that will work on all.

Thanks for posting the deal just the same Mark.

If only the system could take multiple TPMS sensor sets like keys and fob/remotes. Most of my cars have at least two sets of wheels & tires; the 350Z has three. I realize this tool would make it easier to switch over and register a sensor set. Maybe one day I would accept TPMS.

Yeah the newest addition to the fleet is a 2014 Volt. Have to see if I can find a unit that will support that car. Gonna pay a lot more than $20 though I bet.      ;)

For $20, suck it and see.  I would think that pretty much all GM cars use the same TPMS sensors (same frequency & protocol).  Unless, that is, they did a mass vendor change some year?

Okay, ordered one. Did a search and found lots of people that are using the reset tool for late model GM cars including a Camaro ZL1 and Camaros aren't on the list of supported vehicles at all. I believe he set the unit for a 2009 Cadillac as I remember.

Should be here, well at my US shipping address on Thursday. Shipping was only $23 to Canada which wasn't bad considering it covers brokerage fees and such as well. I'll pick it up on the US side for $9.13 shipping.

Thanks Mark for the heads up!

I've done the TPMS reset and it requires that you walk around the Kappa.  It's not hard, but it's kind of a pain.
For the price of this tool, and since it was discounted from $80, this is a no brainer.

Thanks for the heads up.  I ordered one.

Sweet! Can't wait to get mine. Have to try to get it going on the Volt as well but for $20 what the heck. Look like they have been available since February at this price. New old stock I guess.

Sweet! Picked it up today and it works GREAT on my Volt. The Volt is now an HHR.       Have to throw this up on the Volt forum too.

This is one tool that isn't going to sit on the shelf collecting dust.

Peer pressure made me order one!  It should arrive tomorrow. $10.00 shipping seems a bit steep for this tiny thing.

Yeah, it would be nice if Soup would listen from time to time even if it is Sly Bob's idea.
