For an individual, paying $3-500 for a *known* clone is worth it. Risk is low, if it fails quickly (or never works), cc chargeback is an option.
Ebay is definitely overpriced, aliexpress seems to be the place to go, and the saab forum has reviews from high post-count members of which sellers have functional units. That's all that matters.

I would like to be able to find/rent one, so that i can re-program the HHR USB radio that i recently purchased for my Sky. I was able to install one in my 2008 HHR SS, but the tech who did it, has left, and the other techs don't seem to know/don't want to do, to make it work. I'm pretty sure that if i could play with a tech2 a little, i could make the radio to work in no time.  :coffee:

We ordered up 2 of them here, one came in and didn't work, the other one did. They are a lot of fun and you can do some really neat things with them for sure!

Serious question though I wonder if you really need to be associated with a Company to order from that site that Dave posted.
When you register it requires you to give a Company name.

Make up a name and see if they sell it to you.  If not see if you can buy one through Dave.

Thats what I kinda firgured but wanted to see if anyone else had done that and had it shipped.
I highly doubt there going to check into it or they would requiersome sort of business ID number.  In  the States they would but an overseas operation they are just happy selling it to you.
Thanks

Picked mine up a couple of months ago, shipped it here in 3 days  :yay:.  Took a dump the second time I hooked it up  :cloud:. Got a full refund but it took some time, 3 weeks  ( long way to China and the boat really is slow going the other way). Bought a second one and it has been flawless since day one. All Tech 2's are limited to the 2012 model year( new system implemented for 2012 and beyond) , and then it doesn't cover all models of that year. Works great for our cars and other "older" models. Cost roughly $100 ( for the Gm connection for 3 days) but you can connect to GM and download things like ECM info ect but it requires some knowledge of there system.  For stuff like air bag lights, key fobs, and codes not read by "store bought" scanners it is a wiz and fun to play with and no GM connection is required.
