Passed Ontario Drive Clean emissions test
« on: September 04, 2014, 08:17:01 PM »
Well the cars almost old enough where I have to start doing emissions testing once every three years. Didn't really have to get it done until my birthday in March but as the car will be in storage at that time I thought the best bet would be to do it now. Save a lot of hassles in the spring.

I was a little concerned as I have the hi flow cat and the tune but there was no issues at all, passed with ease.    :yay:

Great!

Down here, we start getting emissions tested once the car is 3yrs old.  But it's just an OBD connection now (not a sniffer test any more).

Did you see a performance gain with the cat? or did you do tune and cat at the same time?

In BC we don't need testing for the first 5 years and after that it is an OBD plug in, BUT - the testing program ends next year before I would have to go through, so my car will never face the bureaucrats! Glad your HiFlow got through - I was wondering if mine would make it, had I needed to be tested.

For what it's worth when I first got the car I got it tested  after I installed my mods I had to get the sniffer tester again because the car was stored for the winter and I had not run it through it's relearn cycle  it actually ran cleaner , I keep all my paperwork so I had something to compare it to .

That's interesting...

Here we either get a pass or a fail, no numbers to compare. I wish some politician here would get rid of it to get more votes.   :banghead:
