My 500HP Engine Build
« on: January 13, 2015, 06:21:06 PM »
So I'm in the process of having my engine built by the one and only Dave @ DDM. My goal is between 500-600 to the ground and I will drive this everyday. I would be happy with around 525hp. I will be going with the 5th injector Kit to help with the fuel issues the LNF has. I see some some people go with the different cam with the vp better fuel lobe and springs as well. Is there any benefit it is it just a preference. I also bought a new waters pump as well. I have just about all of the parts and awaiting pricing on a few things such as the sleeves, clutch and have to figure out which turbo I will be going with.

Pretty much same parts as mine until now, waiting to see the "heavy" ones like sleeves, turbo, clutch, etc :D

PS: Wiseco 86.5mm were not in stock in the beginning of the year so I got a delay of a couple of weeks :(

I was going to say that first picture of all the bolts should look pretty familiar to Kelu.

So both of those graphs show less than 500 HP.
How do you plan to hit your 500-600hp goal with that turbo?
Are you going to Add Meth or run E85?

I plan on running meth and haven't decided on the turbo yet. I was just posting the info and if I read it correctly the 7670 puts out between 400-650hp

Don't worry about breaking 500HP
Get a good performing turbo and build a 400+ engine that drives awesome on the street.

Let me run the dyno- I'll guarantee 500 hp on the stock turbo shows up on a dyno graph. Someone has already done it!

That makes sense, the store selling Preparation H was probably at the bottom of that hill.

I see STI in the title of the dynos, could be a 2.5l engine which could produce different outputs than our engines ;)
I think it would be better to read the compressor maps of the turbos and to see similar engines installs.

Just purchased a set of ferra oversized 1mm valves. I figured since the motor is apart and the hp that I'm wanting I might as well replace or upgrade everything. I would rather be safe than sorry. I'm now looking at werks spring and trying to decide between stage 1 and stage 2 cams
