Letting you all know that I am glad to be here.
« on: February 25, 2015, 07:32:40 PM »
Hi everyone I'm brand new to this type of thing, also new to this fine sports car ( Sky Redline )  I live in North Central Arkansas and I own a 2008 Redline that I just purchased on Halloween.  I've gotten to drive it a few times since but then the weather closed that down.  The car already has some modifications, it has been lowered 2 inches, different brakes and wheels and a roll bar.  The first owner lived in Southern CA and I believe that he was the one that made the mods, I also think he raced it.  I am going to raise it back to original because it is to low for this area curbs speed bumps etc.

Welcome to the forum, also is the roll bar a real 4 point bar or is it the one that was designed to look like the real thing but it is not attached as the real thing.

And are you referring to a roll cage? Or an anti-roll bar (sway bar)?

lbaker, Yea Lyn we will be the best car club in Yellville.  All two cars of us.

Gentleman Jack, Not a cage and not a sway bar.  It mounts to the floor and to the back behind the seats.  The car is Silver

I don't seem to be having any luck getting photos into the replies, so if you go to the Owners rides in the Gallery they are there.

Since you have the pictures in the gallery you just need to post a link to the picture location.  At the bottom of the page in the gallery it shows the Web address of the pic.  Copy that address, then when you reply to this thread there will be some icons above where you can type the post select the one that looks like a painting, it's right below the slanted I, paste the photo location in the middle of the brackets.  If you quote my post you can see the what it will Look like.

Glad you made it. Be sure to get up with SolNut, Jackknife or MikeO, here or over on the Sol or Sky Forums. They're our residents Arkies and they can clue you in on the local stuff. The Razorback Run is at Russelville in October. The date floats a bit due to having to schedule around the football schedule. If the Razorbacks are at home, there isn't a hotel room to be found.

I took another quick look a the foto and am a bit intrigued with the rollbar that you have installed. I don't think it is a cage because I don't see any crossbracing along the doors.
Is the roll bar welded to the frame and cut through the waterfall area somehow (it looks like it). Anyway it is a nice look and looks like it would provide what the window
frame wouldn't - some protection in a roll over. Whatever you can toss my way would be appreciated. One last thing , was this a kit or fabricated to fit? Thanks
I always wanted to be somebody when I grew up - I realize now that I should have been more specific!!

The roll bar came with the car and I haven't been under the car to see how it is attached.  I will check into it when the weather breaks.  It isn't welded, I can see that much and I'm not really happy with it because the seats don't fit exactly as they should.  I'm considering taking it out.
