I believe u can, but the combination will not prevent you from backing into medians.

Dave at Pwerks is making some aluminum bushings to replace the the rubber ones on the crossbeam to carrier

As a matter of interest, why aluminum and not urethane?

Dave said they are a press in style bushing that has no way of being located besides pressing them in.
Hence why he suggested aluminum vs poly, or delrin.

I would have to agree with this.

Noise and vibration is probably going to suck. I'm also thinking having no give in the bushings may result in making it easier to crack a diff housing.

I have never heard of that being used to replace the material that is supposed to yield in a bushing.

I'm sure I'm giving up some NVH. How much is what we will learn.

it was a comparison.

He is making me solid rear diff mounts. Where the rear of the carrier mount to the crossbeam.

Relax, you were the one who changed gears and mentioned the engine mounts.

And no, I have not heard of using aluminum, just poly and delrin.

Sounds to me like you will be transitioning the potential carnage to something else if you make that solid.

The other thing I find odd is that we have a lot of kappa drag racers who have not had issues running times in the 12's.
Instead of going with a weird one off part, maybe see if there are ever more part differences between the 2007 gxp and the kappas that have not broken.

I personally have only read about 1 other diff failure, and not a case crack. Maybe it's like Miller and some of the other guys pointed out and it's how you are launching.

I wouldn't disagree it may be how we are launching, but mine and my father's have failed?

We are on the same tire though. So I'm wondering if that is playing into the wheel hop...

This will deffinetly change things this spring though...

when at the track and you get wheel hop it usually means leave harder.

Definitely made my wheels spin when I put the WR3 on. Is the outlet welded on that you have pictured? I recently picked up a few WR3 replacement items from PAW because I will be selling my WR3 and noticed they are doing a few things different like the oil drain, wastegate bracket and wastegate adapter.

Yes the 90 ell is welded on.

this is the efr based WR3. I know once upon a time the WR series turbos were precision turbo based.

There's another one on HP Tuners forum as well. I'm running 82# springs but haven't gone into the block yet. I got a good deal on the 7163 and decided to try it out. It works great, spools great and flows more air with no change to the tune yet so it should be awesome if I ever do get around to upgrading the bottom end.

All of my diff mounts are solid aluminum. Diff ears, back case, driveshaft "donut" etc. Nothing yields. And yes, there is a lot of NVH in my car. I would never put solid mounts (other than maybe the ear mounts) in a street car. Solid ear mounts have been known to alleviate a lot of wheel hop, but as dave said previously, the shocks and suspension need to be up to the task to control the movement.
