Fender well liners
« on: June 26, 2015, 08:33:52 AM »
My liners are old and cracking from using screws/bolts to secure them so I reached out to purchase two new ones from GMPartsGiant. This was on 6/12/2015. I got an update from them stating the shipping was more than quoted (second time that has happened with these guys) by an additional $60. I paid so this would get done.   :gaah:

To this date I have called them three times in two weeks to find out where my purchased parts are and for a third time I got "the GM warehouse manager is busy and will call me back - I'll send you an email when I find out what's happening". If I get the same response today, I am canceling my order and going elsewhere.

Just a heads up...

If they are charging you that much extra for shipping, tell them the liners had better come in a box and not all scratched up or you won't pay for any of it.

I was just told (this makes my sixth call really) they would be shipped out today. Same thing I heard first time I called last week Monday. I mentioned your comment and was told they will come boxed. We will see. I did this through paypal, so maybe that helps me.

I don't know about Paypal but credit cards are great for this sort of thing.  You call the card issuer and tell them what's happening say you are not paying and they have your back.

When you do get the liners, install them like this and you should have no more cracking. Four years here since my new liners were installed.

Yes, many thanks Sly Bob. My Sky already has the new ones, but no chirstmas tree plugs.  I'll change them out asap! If mine have not shipped as of today, I'll go elsewhere to get them.

Roughly $80 each including shipping on eBay. Don't know if that's a good deal or not.

It's a good deal - except one has a 1 to 2 month ship time.  I'm calling Tom at CED.

That's crazy! The sellers should disclose that in the listing. The 2 part numbers I checked (25914763 and 25914764) from seller mart_for_parts in Lubbock TX show estimated delivery of July 3rd to my location. I'd be unhappy if I ordered from them and then found out they couldn't ship for a month.

I'm going through that right now with tires. I ordered Michelin PSS in 255/40/18 online from Discount Tire since they have a local store here only to find out that they are on national back order and won't be in stock for 5 to 6 weeks. Luckily I've still got some tread left but the lousy factory Eagle F1's are crap for traction so the sooner I get rid of them the better.

The real stink is how much the shipping for these.  $112 from gmpartsgiant.  CED did an estimate based on the size and came up with $130. Either way that is insane.

Especially since the part is a rubberized plastic and the last set the dealer got for me were rolled up and would fit in a box the size copier paper comes in.

So the N/A are the same with different attachment hole locations?

The difference is the cooling duct for the brakes. The attachment points should be the same.

Same attachment points you just have to cut out the holes for the cooling ducts

I just converted my 06 fascia to a GXP fascia, the NA fender liner does not match up w/the bottom front GXP fascia.

Did you replace everything, or just the shell?  When we did mine, we replace everything that was different in front of the radiator.  We used my wheel liners, just cut the holes.  There is a lot in there that is different, mouting bars, shrowds, and if I remember correctly you have to shave the foam bumper
