Nevermind I can build my own for a fraction of the cost with the same/better performance. Thank you though!

Lmao...hmm maybe to see if anybody had one they were looking to get rid of. I made a true cold air intake using the inlets below the headlights and used flexible tubing good up to 150psi with silicone couplers. Cost me about $80 and will help with the custom tune coming this week with the catless dp/cutout. Will take pics tomorrow

Posts Like this is why I sometimes just throw shit out.

I'll trash something before I spend anytime working with someone trying to get something practically for free.

You'd be surprised, the aftermarket parts for all cars are usually grossly overpriced. :banghead: kappa. You can easily fab them up yourself and get the same kinds of gains.

That's if you have the tools and how much do those tools cost?
Normally more than the parts you could buy.
Then there is the labor cost of your own time.  Most people don't factor that in.

Never said I was looking for free parts, I would pay whoever was looking to get rid of any parts pertaining to the intercooler system. I sourced them locally anyways but good try at trolling. You're turning me on.

True that you can probably make one for a fraction of the cost parts wise but if you value your time at all, you'll quickly spend more time than what it's worth making it happen. I'm all for supporting the vendors that are putting the R&D efforts into a platform that hasn't been produced for 5+ years.

I'm sure that I could source the parts to do my own upgrades but I'd rather pay one of our supporting vendors and have a product that fits with excellent instructions and be done with it in a couple of hours versus spending 3 or 4 days or more of my time putting things together. My time is much more valuable than that to me so spending a couple extra hundred bucks is well worth it.
The road to success is always under construction.

Valid point, if you have limited time then it's perfectly normal to pay more to balance out the cost of going solo. It only took me an hour or so to source the parts and another hour putting them on the car so I made out okay. I've heard mixed reviews of many of the vendors but so far I haven't had an issue with DDM or SOLO.

Well, we could make it useful...heaven forbid.

Kpleblanc, I have an issue you may be able to help with. I am wanting to put a K04 off the LNF on my LE5 (yea, who hasn't, right?)  I have everything up to the turbo cold pipe that I need...though not optimal. It's the intake and IC cold side to the TB that are hanging me up.

I need a cold pipe that has the MAF sensor bung welded in already and that runs to a TB that faces "up" rather than facing "down" like on the Kappa LNF. All the vendors that have a 2.4 turbo kit offer just that, a full kit. I don't need a full kit, I need an intake and cold charge pipe (though hot and cold would probably be better so they match). Right now about the only option I've seen is going with a 2.5" pipe kit off eBay (uhg...desperation) and having a MAF bung welded onto the cold pipe OR I found a 3" MAF pipe that is designed to connect to other piping to add the MAF but I'm wondering on the wisdom of having 3" tubing on the LE5 IC or the effects of having a 3" piece on a 2.5" system.

Turbos and Air to Air ICs are still new to me so excuse my ignorance when trying to figure all this stuff out.

Your "true" CAI wouldn't even be true anyway... You're picking up the rediculously hot air coming off the Tarmac... Not to mention it has a very far travel through your homemade intake just picking up extra heat from friction.
