F/S Saturn SKY RL w/Mallett LS7 Package
« on: July 29, 2015, 08:34:20 AM »
Not mine, this was just posted (7/29/15) on the SKY roadster forum by SKY forum member; FunariB

Saturn Sky Redline with Mallett LS7 Package
I have a 2007 Saturn Sky for sale that is a very unique automobile.

I have owned the car since new. It has the Mallett LS7 engine conversion as well as an Edlebrock E-Forec supercharger and a brand new T56 six speed transmission. The car produces 665 HP and will out perform almost any exotic you can name. The care has been in California it entire life with the exception of the trip back to Berea, Ohio for the Mallett conversion. In addition to the performance upgrades on the car, I have installed a set of HRE wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The car has less than 15,000 miles and has never been tracked or raced. This car is one of 28 automobiles that I have in my collection and I am selling in order to make room for some new arrivals. If you are interest in this car please contact me at Funari@CEO.net and I will send you pictures of the car as well as my asking price.

At least. Thinking more like $45k. The engine alone is $30k.

Never going to get what you put into it though. A low mileage sky without and engine isnt worth as much as a low mileage one you can drive. Ill say $10k for a sans-engine car then $25k for the engine and the remaining bits. Wheels are the only thing that would closely retain their value. While it would be unique to own that car, you can v8 swap and supercharge a car for much less if you do your own work. Im not knocking these cars and hope they get sold for someone else to enjoy, its just I hope the seller plans on sitting on it for a while if they are expecting to get top dollar for it.

I follow these V8 swaps and almost bought one last spring the reality is the guy will be lucky to get half of what he has into the car .The market for these is very limited the couple that sold last year that I was aware of all went in the low to mid 20's .

I agree. 20s is more reasonable for these cars with v8 swaps.

Thought the same thing when I saw that. lol Hopefully he did the swap after those pictures and isnt blowing smoke. Otherwise, itd be far less desirable in the auto vs a 6spd.
