But OEM rotors & brakes look rather dorky w/20 wheels.

20" wheels look dorky on a kappa.

I have to agree.

That the brakes look small on a stock car isn't so much to do with them actually being small (they're not) its the fashion driven trend to ever larger diameter wheels (to the detriment of braking performance, BTW).

No real need for a car tire bigger than 15" or 16".

V8s with less than 260HP

Tires larger than 15" are unnecessary?  Tires????
 :idk: :idk: :idk: :idk:
That would require rims smaller than 15" which would cause all sorts of suspension clearance issues on modern cars, bottoming out, body damage

The more you type, the more credit you lose in my mind.

It's 2015 not 196x

Elff stop being intentionally obtuse.

The switch (not on Kappas, but as a general trend in all cars) to larger diameters was largely driven by fashion. In terms of performance all you need is something in the 25-16"range.  I said nothing about 15" tires on a Kappa.  I said CAR tire, not KAPPA tire, but I'll try to be a bit more explicit next time so the hard of understanding can keep up.

Absolutely
I am just trying to show that a lot of the posts are based on outdated opinon

I said nothing about 15" tires on a Kappa.  I said CAR tire, not KAPPA tire, but I'll try to be a bit more explicit next time so the hard of understanding can keep up.

So now Kappa's aren't cars?
 :idk: :idk: :idk:

Your thought process is stalled in the 1960's
[and your high opinion of what you think is incorrect about all modern vehicles that don't fit your optimal mold for a car]

Emissions, Safety standards, increased engine performance, increased braking, increased handling and passenger comforts have evolved past your level of thinking. These new technologies [And REQUIREMENTS] have resulted in heavier vehicles.    These heavier vehicles require a certain size tire to support the weight and at the same time have comfortable and safe handling.
15-16" tires will not work on most vehicles, but 17-18" are needed.  I will admit 20" "AFTER MARKET" wheels are mostly chosen for visuals, but the purchaser of those are free to spend their money as is.

What's absolutely hilarious, is this current argument of yours completely contradicts your previous statement about how important good tires are.
Larger diameter tires can support a wider surface area, with a sidewall ratio that leads to increased handling and braking with adequate sidewall stiffness.

You are all over the place and floundering at this point.
Just give up.

Modern engineering has eclipsed your narrow viewpoint of what is necessary on a car.
