Does it have the insulator on the inside?
Are there any tears at the fold point in the edge where the joint folds

It does not have the headliner installed. Other than some dust on the top, it is in great condition. I have it boxed ready to ship. Here are all the pictures I have:

It is from a 2006 guys which means it could only be black and not have a liner.  That was all later in production.

Just a little word of caution for those of you who don't have a 2006.  During my quest for a new top, I found out the 2006 top is different than the other years.  I'm not exactly sure where the VIN changes to the new top - If it is in late 2006 or it was right at the MY change.  At any rate, the front seals diffently with the Type I top vs. the Type II and I'm told they are not interchangeable.  There are pictures of the differences on the Big Boards.

For example, my 2006 top used a sealant around the front edges next to where the pins set into the windshield frame.  In the far corners so to speak.  The newer tops use a molded seal and it's way different than the small amount of sealant I had on my top.  If I can find the thread showing the differences, I'll link it here if that's ok.

*edit*  I stand corrected, there may be 3 tops.  Although I think 2 and 3 are interchangeble.  I'm searching now.

This is the thread I was looking for regarding the differences in the tops. VIN breaks are also in this thread for the 2006 and 2007 model years.

Just wondering if you could purchase a newer type seal and adapt it to an older top I have to believe that the basic top structure is the same .

I wondered that also.  I can tell you that since I replaced the canvas, the shop that did it used a molded piece that is different than the old piece in my Type I top.  The top seals which is what you want, but it is a PITA to latch now.  It also sits back a little further than where it did previously and as far as I can tell, it's because that weatherstripping piece is different.  It sticks out further than the old seal (which on mine looked more like sealant than the small piece shown in the picture in the thread).  Now that it sits back a touch further, the latch doesn't want to catch as easy and I have to mess with it to get it to latch.  I'm going to try to adjust it a touch forward and see if that helps, but it may not make a difference with that seal taking up the space.  I'll still have to work to latch it with the extra seal in the way.

So could it be that the seal is new and not "broken "in yet ? maybe some type of silicone grease would help

I thought that at first until I took a good look at it.  It's a completely different seal than what was on the original canvas.  The new piece is molded and sticks out from the canvas whereas previously, it was more like sealant directly applied to the corner of the canvas.  It was more flush with the canvas.  I can stick my finger between where the pins sit and the top now, whereas I couldn't before.  My fingers aren't big so we're talking a 1/4" gap or so.  I'd get a pic of it so you could see it, but I won't be home until the end of December.  I thought they might have used the Type II weather strip piece, but this piece doesn't match what is in the diagrams either.

Also, it looks like the only way to retrofit the new weatherstripping to an old top is to glue it.  The new top uses 2 screws to attach the seal to the frame.  The old tops did not.  It was sealed directly against the frame with sealant.  You could drill and tap the frame I suppose, but that would be a bit risky to me.

Anyway, I don't mean to hijack the thread.  Just want a potential buyer to make sure this top will work for them before they buy it!  The more I read up on the weatherstripping, I believe either top would work on any model year car.  However, I'd recommend researching it more as I've seen other threads stating they won't.  I know the frames are quite a bit different as well as the lacking mechanism.
