Those wheels look like Enkei RPF1's which are very popular.  Forgestar makes a great product.  Normally I am not a fan of wheel locks, but those are so nice, you might want to think about a set.

Very good point - yes I will consider that. It's taking a little longer to get these because of the brushed face, so protecting them would be a smart move.

I'm still wondering if those Opel injectors are indeed bigger because they are coming from an engine similar to ours which is not pushing more power if I remember correctly.

The stock LNF injectors are 120#, and the Opel injectors are 135# per hr at 10 mpa
DDM Short Shifter, K&N Typhoon CAI, Solo HighFlow Cat, Solo Street Race Exhaust, Pwerks Charge Tubes, Pwerks Street Race Intercooler, AEM Meth Injection, Pwerks Valve Springs, Wiseco Pistons, ZZP 4340 Rods, ARP Head Studs, Pwerks Street Race Head Gasket, Pwerks Phenolic Spacer Set, ZZP Stage 1 Comp Cams w/ Upgraded Fuel Pump Lobe, Spec Stage 2+ Clutch, Spec Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel, Pwerks 5th Injector, Pwerks 700hp Fuel Pump, ...& A TURBO

Better use more than one per wheel. One stud is pretty easy to snap once the others are off. Or, just trust that if someone really wants your wheels, they will just take the whole car.

Thanks for the info, did not know that info. There is a technical sheet somewhere?

Decided to go with BC Racing Coilovers and the DDM Wilwood kit while DDM has it. I'll move the Z0K springs to my wife's Sky. The engine build is almost done, so I should be delivering the car to an already built engine.

Wish I would have powder coated the turbo gloss black now.  Maybe Dave can do that before the car gets there.

Dropped the car off this weekend and they have already started building the engine. They will start pulling the old engine on the 14th.  Dave was working on another V8 transplant into a silver GXP.

Engine built and ready to go. Jeff Melnor is doing the job. Should go in Monday and then the rest of the work. Dave said he would redo the turbo housing in gloss black.

Wow. I can't wait to see the wheels and tires on the car. These may be my favorite wheel I've seen on a solstice.

I never noticed that ecotec motors have two separate chains - one driving the water pump/balance shaft, and the other a true timing chain driving the cams.  Clearly I've never torn down an ecotec.  The three cars I've had with them have been too reliable!  210,000 miles and counting on my VUE.  110K on the GXP.

Coilovers, brakes and wheels/tires on the car. Ride height has to be set back to Z0K height. Dave made some covers for the rear coilover holes in the wheel well using his 3D printer. Pretty cool. Loving it so far!   :D

Looking good!

Are you going to run e47 or pump gas?

Roxer you should have the turbo components ceramic coated or a high heat coating like Jett Hot  it withstands the heat much better I've had stuff powder coated and experienced flaking it's good for wheels , valve covers, frames etc.

No, just 93 + Methanol. Best to keep it on a tune that makes gas available when I travel. This will still be my summer daily driver on good weather days.

I wish that would have been mentioned beforehand. Hindsight, right? Too late for that now - engine is in the car with turbo attached. Maybe a blanket for the future, not sure yet as I read conflicting info on them. Dave's constructing a heat shield for me. I asked that it mimick the OEM version. I would think a blanket would fit under that future state.

Just my opinion I would not waste my time or money with a shield I had one and ended up with a blanket by DEI Engineering does a much better job as far as heat containment goes By the way the car and engine look great !

I may do both just for aesthetics. Hopefully dyno'd tomorrow/Monday. Setting the ride height today and some odds and ends.

Well I need to powder coat the rear calipers to match the Wilwoods. G2 doesn't match so well. Waiting to get pics of it lowered. Hopefully dyno'd tomorrow so I know what power I'm making...hopefully.
