GLWS. Looks really clean.

Love to hear your thoughts on the 7163 in another thread.

Yeah that looks new. Like new... reasonably priced. My daughter is taking all my fun money right now. GLWS! Upgraded turbos don't seem to last long on the forums. I'm interested in how you like the 7163 too.
She's an 09 Brazen GXP.

Covered by Norms Fiberglass, DDM, WERKS, KappaSphere, Trifecta performance, Dejon performance, Solo performance, Magnaflow, Hahn, VDI, B&G, ASAP, WindRestrictor, Gravana, JPM, Santana, Madmod, HID pro, Second Skin Audio, mydipkit, Automotivetouchup.com and Smoothline.

To be or not to be hard, that is the question. I prefer my top off and still hard when I need it.

The 7163 is pretty much identical to the 6758 in spool time and flows 4 more pounds of air with no changes made to the tune. I made a few changes to the tune and shaved off .4 seconds from my 40-120 time running the same psi as I was running on the 6758. I know that MAF numbers can be easily skewed so I try to base my improvements by speed and I've compared several dozen logs from each turbo and see the biggest difference above 70mph where the 7163 really starts to shine and never runs out of breath.

They are both great turbo's and the biggest reason I chose to go with the 7163 was due to a great deal. I'm sure I could reinstall the 6758 and run matching times but I would have to increase the boost and add more fuel to do so and I'm too lazy to switch back plus there's plenty of head room left in the 7163 should I decide to want more out of it.

Exactly the same housing as the 6758. Stock manifold.

Wow, that's awesome. Do you have any preinstall pictures? I am assuming fueling would still be the issue with trying to get to 500+whp.

Oh, and a bump for the sale!

I had pictures but lost them due to a ransom-ware virus. Some people just don't have anything better to do I guess. With the knowledge they have to write the crap they do, they should be able to find a reputable job somewhere I would think.

Yes - fueling would still need to be addressed in order to get to that number and I don't know if I'll try to get there or not. I've got way too much going on this spring and summer to even attempt to do much to the car and more power wouldn't do me any good now anyways as I can't keep the wheels planted to the asphalt. I'll need to go with wider wheels and tires on the back for starters and then maybe work on more power.

I'm looking forward to hearing your reaction after your first WOT pass.

So the 7163 is a bolt on turbo just as the WR3?

I don't see the 7163 as an option at pwerks but would think they would probably offer it if someone asked. Pretty sure it would be closer to $2600 since the 6758 WR-3 is $2455 for the Kappa.
