To proceed with planning for the proposed 2017 NASSAM in Lexington I have created a simple website that will have information about the event and a contact page with a questionnaire. I am trying to avoid cross-posting the same information on multiple forums, and I refuse to use Facebook, so this seemed like a reasonable idea. I guess we'll see how it works.

The website is temporary, and will be replaced by something official some time in the fall. That site will have all of the normal registration and sign-up options.

Right now the site has one of Judy's pretty pictures, a contact form, and a dot on a map showing the approximate center of the places we are talking to for the main event location. As we progress I will add information about the runs and other activities.

I have added some (preliminary) run information, mostly runs that we have been doing for years.
They will all be re-scouted, and some changes are likely to deal with changing conditions.

Most of the secondary roads around here are twisty, so finding "fun" isn't too difficult.

Update on the 2017 National:

The registration fee for the event has been determined, but I am still looking into whether we can do more of it a la carte.

Room blocks have been arranged and two of the three hotels are available for booking, so make your plans and book your rooms.

I have posted a formal request for run leaders. Please note that if we don't have leaders, we won't have runs.

The event registration website is still under construction, and I am projecting October for you to be able to use it.

Post #3. I'm booked at the Sheraton, but I'm going to switch to the Fairfield due to mini fridge and I'm a Marriott rewards member.
Fairfield is telling me the block of rooms is not set up yet and they can't take my reservation. They think it will be set up today.

Registration for NASSAM 2017 is finally open.

At the present time you cannot sign up for runs, as I have only received two commitments for run leaders. When we have a few more leaders committed we will add run sign-ups and I will make a further announcement.

PLEASE NOTE:

We are having an intermittent problem with the PayPal link. If you get a "Empty Shopping Cart" error you can do one of three things:
1) Go to PayPal direct and send the proper amount using the email address at the bottom of the registration page.
2) Mail a check or money order to John Riedel 794 Jairus Drive Lexington KY 40515 with "NASSAM 2017" on the memo line or
3) Log back into your registration page and complete the checkout using the link provided. (The bug appears to be fixed.)

Thanks to everyone in Kentucky for a great week. We had a blast and one of the biggest attendance of any nationals yet. Denise and I are glad we didn't miss it.
That Kentucky 227 was amazing and thanks to the powers that be for repaving it just before the event.

I think it's about 1300sf 3 bed 2 bath 2 car garage (about 500 additional sf) 1/3 to 1/2 acre
It sold 2 years ago for 125
