SOS NEED HELP NOWWWWW
« on: June 26, 2016, 03:44:59 PM »
My car is on the lift at my uncles and it needs to be done tonight. How do I remove the rear diff without taking EVERYTHING in the rear apart?! It doesn't make sense to me. I'm just trying to do a clutch swap. Help! I can DM my phone number! Please help!!!

When DDMWorks did my clutch, they had to take a boatload of stuff out so they could drop the transmission.
If I have this correct, you have to do the following
Remove the Exhaust
Remove the tunnel brace
Remove the driveshaft
Remove the Torque arm
Remove the rear differential [Kind of at the same time as the Torque arm
There is a brace under the transmission
Have to disconnect the Slave Cylinder to completely remove the transmission.
Then you should be able to fully remove the transmission

The rear hubs and axle shafts do not need to be removed.  The shafts should have enough flex to come out of the diff as it is being lowered.

Here are the parts removed

These 3 attached documents should help.
Page  21 of the Differential PDF is where you want to begin with your question, specifically the bolt labelled as 3 in the first diagram.

I hope these help

Thank.  I left Johnny a Voicemail as well.  Hopefully he gets these.  I was lucky to have sat down for a bit and check the forum

Defective flywheel.  :censor: me. One of the holes doesn't line up. I've tried spinning it 8 ways. Never more than 7 holes lining up. This is the DDM clutch flywheel.
