Rockchops-
Let me know if you want to test drive it!
Judging from the plates id guess you're on the wrong coast but I appreciate it! I wouldn't have the money anyways, even the sky if feeling the pinch.

Maybe you could just rent it out for an hour or so at a time.  You know put that VAG to work for you.

I'll be honest.  I'm worried that GJ's VAG is past its prime.  Sure, it was a spectacular VAG in its day, and that's not a lot of miles for an older VAG.  I suspect it was even well cared-for.  I just fear that an old, heavy VAG is bound to be worn out.

Not untrue, but the parts that needed replacing to keep my VAG tight have all been done recently.

I'm a firm believer that if a VAG has been well cared for and is in as good a shape as when new that no matter how old it is it can still be a fun ride.

I longed for a VAG like that back in the day.  Pity they were all automatics.  Sure it's got the manumatic mode that you can twiddle the stick around, but it's just not the same VAG experience if your left foot isn't involved (too far?)

Seriously, good luck with the sale.
