Hi Everyone.

I finally got my fourth and fifth Saturns last month. Still only have one, but after a '94 SL2, '00 SL2, and '07 Ion 3 Quad Coupe, and an '07 Sky Base for three weeks last month, I now have an '09 Sky Redline Turbo in the driveway. Been wanting one since I first saw a yellow Sky with lambo doors at a dealer back when I was shopping for my Ion 3.

I'm mostly here to learn about maintenance and improvements on the Sky. I already know more about the quirks and tweaks on this machine than on any other car I've owned, so who knows what's ahead... but for now I'm taking it slow and enjoying the permagrin.  :D

These are photos from the dealer...

And here's one I took.

Need to get it detailed and then go find a place to get some better photos :)

And since the registration came in the mail yesterday, I can take the ugly sticker out of the window. :)

Okay. Let's start with this one. I've seen the lambo doors, but I want voice activated doors, like this:

Who makes the parts to make this happen?

Voice activated doors sounds like a project for Tomato Soup, surprised Elff hasn't requested this mod yet.

Kelu what do you mean off topic posts?  We would never do something like that now would we?

I still kinda think the trunk release actions are pretty much that tickled cat.

Maybe I should customize the remote to make the noise.

I think voice activation does not work with voices under 18, remember the phosphorescent latch from the trunk that was installed there for kids deposited in that compartment, probably that's why Elff didn't request that :)

No no, I meant he would meet Kappa Performance Drift Team :D

OK, I'll work on it... but you'll have to have a Scottish accent to use it.

Congrats, just check your VIN for recalls. California it may be the law when you buy from a dealer, here in TX they look at you kind of weird and say ''I don't know, not my Job'' what recalls?

My car just turned 50,000 had the dealer do some minor work and first they broke the door handle and said it was broke when It came in. Like I took the service manager out and showed her how to open the ''lambo doors'', and open/close the hood without hitting the doors and even how to open/close the trunk (she didn't know how to push the top back down). They didn't tell me about the door handle until I picked It up. (guess they thought I liked it broke). However they did call and tell me they did a $150 diagnosis on the psgr. air bag modular and the estimated cost. $553 parts $400 to install, check and clear codes.

Anyway, take the door handles off (both sides) get some heavy duty epoxy glue and fill in the back of the door handles around the two nuts, don't wait until they break. If the psgnr seat hasn't been replaced yet, get ready, its simple to do it yourself or take it to an upholstery shop. You can get the seat on-line under $400.

If you haven't already haven't purchased it, get yourself a somewhat expensive code reader. About $150 will get you one that will read ABS and SRS. That way you can clear the codes and diagnose it yourself.
