Topic: Preventative Maintanence While Changing Valvesprings

I'm about to switch to the Supertech 78# valvesprings and am wondering if there is any need-to-do preventative maintenance while I have everything apart. I've heard the timing chain guides can fail? My engine has just at 100k miles and I have been turboed for the last 10k. Thanks

Can we assume you have a 2.4L engine due to your statement about only 10K turbo miles?

If you have the front cover off I would do the chains and guides. They can fail catastrophically.

We did not.

In addition, I'd recommend you should swap out the valve stem seals too. If the head gets completely disassembled, maybe look into lapping the valve to their seat.
