How did I miss this post? Really looking forward to seeing what you do to make the Z06 side skirts work. Should be interesting to watch.    :pop:

Are you also considering a front splitter and rear diffuser?  Not much blogging on these topics to see what it would take (although Norm has a rear diffuser for sale).  I have these on my list of mods but not much thought into it yet.

I assume the only functional aero part would be the rear diffuser; functional as in large increment improvement to downforce achieved. The vette skirts seem like they would perform better than the stylish Norm ones.  I hope someday I can help Norm with his retirement and get all the fixings including the coupe top, but I hope that day doesn't come when he is already retired.   When I think of aero for my car, I am drawing inspiration from time attack cars.

Front splitter:

To me time attack stuff looks cool because racecar and supersized aero parts.  As far as proving functionality of diy aero stuff on a budget, I can instrument the 4 corners with thaitanium linear transducers to measure ride height to estimate downforce and changes in downforce (static ride height vs. 100 mph cruising ride height for example).

Time attack car aero inspiration examples:

Coming along nicely but how are you going to fasten them on the car? What changed your mind and made you decide to sell them?

You're keeping those and making copies for anyone that likes them and wants the same on their car? As a vendor the rules are somewhat different on many forums.

Hello all! It’s been a little while, I know. Iv mostly been busy with other projects.

But in spite of, I was able to get some work done on the custom sides skirts (yesterday, and today)
I’m kind of moving away from calling them  “Z06 retrofit” mainly because they have somewhat taken a life of their own.

However they are still inspired by the Z06 kit. For those of you who are familiar, this may not look like much progress but, believe me it’s been a lot of work up to this point. So much that even now I’d say I’m only about 68% done. Anyhow here’s a pic, enjoy!

Thank you guys! I really appreciate the support! 4real! Again; I’m no pro, or anything close. Just a guy with a purpose to make his car look cooler.

It does look great Minihawn, look forward to seeing it in person one day. Are you heading to Corning this year?

Looks nice. How much ground clearance do they leave?

(Also, if not stock, what suspension and wheel/tire combo created the result?)
