FS: HPTuners
« on: February 10, 2020, 11:13:59 AM »
I have an "original" (not the new MPVI 2) HPTuners for sale. It is unlocked for the 2009 Saturn Sky as well as the 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix. It does not have any remaining credits since it is opened to both models, not VIN-specific. $300 shipped CONUS, and I will work to accommodate anywhere else. I can accept most forms of electronic payment: PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Google Pay. The quickest way to contact me is email, jmcalister AT gmail DOT com.

Ease of mind that while writing a tune, the wired connection has almost zero chance of having an issue, where as a wireless connection could hiccup and leave you in a bad situation.

Yes, if you're running onboard sensors that you also want to datalog. MPVI 2 can do that as well, but it's more complicated. (Or was, last time I looked.) But you need the pro version to data log additional sources I think, so...?

I have no interest in upgrading, wireless would be more convenient, but why complicate things?

If you have a 2009 Sky (and I think the Solstice is covered too) or a 200 Grand Prix, definitely since this is already unlocked for those. Otherwise it's just the benefits of a wired connection as mentioned above.

Just clarifying, does your HPT hardware have the unlimited license for the 06-09 Solstice/Sky?  There are two license levels, single vehicle (matched to the ECU serial number) or unlimited: https://www.hptuners.com/vehicles/

Okay that makes sense if it's older.  My experience is more recent like that time I bricked the ECU a few years ago I had to use 2 more credits to unlock the new ECU.

OP should double clarify I'm sure this would turn into a very quick sale!

I put that in the original post, it is unlocked for the 2009 Sky and 2000 Grand Prix. That is all vehicles for that model year. I am not sure if the Solstice is included, it might be but I honestly do not remember so I left that out. I know it will work on any 2009 Sky and any 2000 Grand Prix, I used it on several vehicles of each.
