Hey can I have the old license plates from that car?

You're going to need Elff to come over and help with anything you need to do to that engine it's packed in there with no room to spare.  What is it like 10hrs labor to change the air filters?

I was looking at the same model (Avant) but with the 3.2 engine, but thought you were not into wagons, but it is a good looking ride.

Was just reading the wiki, they didnt import them because America hates wagons.

My first car was a station wagon with a V8 and also I was very disappointed after learning the Buick Tourx wagon doesn't LS.

My dad had a '79 240something Volvo station wagon that he GAVE AWAY. Really wish he'd of kept it so I could LS swap it now...but the result is I've always loved station wagons.

The average American hates station wagons, sure...but the avgerage American Car Guy/Gal tends to LOVE them...

Your car tax is more than my yearly insurance for 3 cars and a Buell.
WTF?

Hey can I have the old license plates from that car?
You mean this one from the pictures? B33FOL? Generally when we buy a car the old plates we have to hand it over to police registration office to receive the new ones for which we have opted. Also generally people like to keep their old license plates even if we don't have personalized versions. May I ask why you want this?

You're going to need Elff to come over and help with anything you need to do to that engine it's packed in there with no room to spare.  What is it like 10hrs labor to change the air filters?
Anything what is not accessible at the top part of the engine is PITA, most operation result in engine/transmission out (even only for 10 inches) to have access.

I was looking at the same model (Avant) but with the 3.2 engine, but thought you were not into wagons, but it is a good looking ride.
I'm not into wagons either but this one was a great deal on a great condition with great engine model.

True ... sounds like you might something in your shopping list? a 240 Volvo? :D

I was thinking the Romanian license plate would be a nice addition to the other plates I have hanging on the wall next to the slot car track.

The plane is a new toy I picked up this summer.

I have to hand it back to the police registration office when I will have mine. But I think we can arrange something.

It's got a common, for aircraft, 4 cylinder that has a bit more displacement than your new car about 5.9l.

Kelu- I’ve stayed REALLY quiet over here while you showed off your VAG...  I’m waiting for some sort of apology from you.. as a previous owner of an RS6, I seem to recall you pooping all over my decision...
Plus- my BMW will run circles around your silly wagon once your wagon breaks down. ...

PS- the transmission in my BMW blew up.  I just put in a rebuilt unit 😀

I miss you.

Finally you showed up ... sorry but I don't see you quiet :D ... I was expecting a good laugh from you because of my bashing about european cars everytime you got one  ...

True, your BMW can run circles around pretty much anything, including a pole :D but my wagon just runs fast :D

Good that you could find one .. btw from where you got it? Car Museum stripping off cars which are not making it into the museum display?

I miss you.
Miss you too  :slap:

Kelu how are things going over there in Europe with this virus?
Pretty bad, most of the countries are almost locked down.
I self isolated at home with my family because I came from Belgium 2 weeks ago and they said anyone who is coming from abroad to self isolate.

Some countries take it more seriously sooner (Romania, Poland and some others) but the western countries seemed that they delayed the lock down. Until now Italy and Spain are hit hard.
I'm looking at Germany and UK which kind of delayed initially and now they are getting inline.

Not sure if I see the real picture in US but from here seems it is not taken too seriously and NY seems to start to feel the hit.

Also Europeans are not so disciplined as S. Korea or Japan who seem they narrow it down very effectively perfecting testing and tracking.

How are the things to you?

As you know the US is a big country, population density and cultural norms are not the same thru out so it is affecting various places differently here.  Some take it pretty seriously and so we are following the stay home policies others like college students are going on spring break and don't seem to care that they are potentially adding to the issue.

Illinois is on "shelter in place" orders, so I am working from home however my company is one that is allowed to continue operations and so I can be called into work if needed.  There are a few confirmed cases of the virus in the county that I live in but the number is like 2 or 3.

So for me it's not too bad but who knows what tomorrow will be like?

I hear that a number of the "spring breakers" have now tested positive.  Natural selection at work.  Unfortunately they are more likely to give it to someone else and sail through the illness themselves, with little effect :(

Maryland is in a virtual lockdown.
All non-essential businesses closed.
You can go out but only in groups of 10 or less.  Larger groups will be stopped, broken up or arrested.
Grocery stores are starting to get stock back on the shelves since the have imposed limits on quantity.
We have either 26 or 29 confirmed cases in our county
The state has 349 cases as of this morning with 4 deaths.

Chris and I are fine.  I had done my monthly shopping before things got serious.  We are remaining home,  and Chris in video chatting with the grandkids since she can't go babysit twice  week.

Everyone stay safe out there.  Stay home and remember the life you save may be mine  :)

Florida is not lock down yet and I do not think it will take place either, since Dade and Braward counties are the hardest hit  Those are the South Florida population including Palm Beach County where I live, but although we have a few cases is not like the other 2 counties. The governor just made a mandate that anyone coming into Florida (by air) from New York will have to quarantine for 14 days.
All the South Florida beaches have been closed. I am hoping that the cocktail of the 2 medicines, that will start been tested in New York will be the game changer.
