Sub install
« on: May 03, 2020, 02:39:20 PM »
So recently some may know I added a sub to my car. I installing a JL audio 10 inch shallow sub. I decided to invert the sub so I didn’t have to modify the factory box as much and to give it more box space. Plus there is a cool factor. It’s being run by a JL audio 250 watt class D amp behind the driver seat. I also added JBL 6.5 inch door speakers with cross overs and tweeters run with factory monsoon amp. I feel like it turned out good and sounds great. Below is the list of all equipment added.

Alpine ILX-W650 head unit
JBL 6.5 GX 608 inch component speakers
JL audio 10 inch 10TW1
JL audio JD250 mono class D amp
8 ga wire kit.
JL audio bass control knob.
Sound deadening full interior of the car

I think that’s it. Let me know what you all think.

Wow, impressive Hammy.  And its also noted that you used nothing but high quality materials.  That kilmat ain't cheap, but its damn good.  This is on my list of to dos at some point, I just have to get through the current projects.  Is it just me or does anyone else notice that it seems no matter what I'm doing to the car, if its a change, the Sol fights me the whole way?  Maybe its just me, IDK, but it seems I have to persevere and keep pushing way more than ever.  On the other hand, at the end of the day, I'm usually happier than ever and I love my Sol.
