Cheers dropped it off at my place today.  There are some minor changes required to make it work in the Solstice.  I tried it on a 2009 Sky Redline and it fits.

As I'm sure DeepBlue GXP will agree, the prototype it is an absolutely beautiful piece of engining and art.  HOWEVER, it was a bit too wide

I see what you mean.  Smoother smaller lobes and a raised center twist line maybe?

Looks sharp though.

Still waiting on a price....

I'm waiting on this one too. I'd like to get one in blue for the Sky to match the under hood set that I plan on ordering.

Also tried the prototype gas cap on my 2007.  It was a 1/4 inch too high to let the gas door close and it was really tight getting enough room to twist the cap off.

I do love testing new products though.

I have an interest in this part provided they fix the size issue and the price is right... I have been to the website and there must be some sort of user error on my part because I cannot find the other "engine bay" caps others are mentioning. I wouldnt mind replacing all of the caps on my 08 GXP with billets like that again if the price is right.

I was hoping to find a fuel door like they have on the Mitsubishi Eclipse as well....

Anyone ever see anything like that for a Solstice?

I am not looking for a STICKER, DECAL, or fake stick on overlay.

Brazen Orange, I would assume that you have checked out this thread?

http://kappaperformance.com/forum/index.php?topic=727.0

The Solstice would look funny with "Eclipse" on the fuel door.

Me like chrome! Real chrome that is, not that plastic krap we have all over the car. I wish someone would make a chrome version of the stock GXP grills and light surrounds. Hopefully we are soon going to have some options.

I am the person who sent you the email asking about white.
here is why.

however, the Black Anodized does look very nice and would probably work just as well.

There is a revised one getting shipped to Cheers.  He doesn't want two designs.  The other did fit a sky but only because the sky is a little wider that the Solstice.

OK, maybe we'll get a response over here.

I'm ready to order my black andonized billet fuel cap with GXP engraving.

Are they available?

Will they ever be?

May I please have a response to my questions?

I am a repeat customer.  I was an early participant in the first group buy for the billet caps.

You loved me then.  Where's the love now?

Ben L, this is GXPinKC.  I just happened to find your post, really by mistake, really.  The first Group Buy has ended.  However, a second Group Buy is currently going and I would advise you to go to the thread that is currently on-going and it is the 2nd Billet Group Buy.  With your interest
in a Red Anodized OEM Billet Cap, we welcome you to go over to the thread that is currently active.  You would be order#16 I believe.  We need
20 orders to get to the second price reduction.  We are just about there.

Uh.  Now I am really confused.

I understand there is a second group buy on the underhood caps.  But I already did participate in the first group buy for the billet underhood caps.  I was No. 19 of the first group buy

Hence, what I said in my previous post -- "I am a repeat customer.  I was an early participant in the first group buy for the billet caps."

So the question I keep asking is, what about the gas caps?    :banghead:

Ron, wrong set of caps.  This thread is for the Gas Cap.  As far as I know, the first cap didn't fit the Solstice, Cheers is waiting for the new design.  Once that is tested, then we'll get into a buy...  BTW, the first one did fit in a Sky.
