Ben who, I keep seeing these posts about this Ben guy who the heck is he and who let him in. Mods you are slacking again. I won't commit yes or no on the gas cap, but I would like to see one.

Hey LG or MP or TM or whatever it will be tomorrow, aren't you a moderator?  Can't you do something about the Phantom Ben thing?  I keep hearing about him but haven't seen anything, is his car one of those stealth ones?

Billet Gas Cap Cover Update--------------------------I don't know if interest in the billet gas cap cover has waned, but I got the email below from Mathieu at MRZ yesterday on 5/13/09.

Today, in another email, Mathieu added:  "We'll be able to make various emblems with no problem. The price will be around $50 for it in polished finish, anodized will be a little more."

Too bad nobody has a group buy going for the billet gas cap cover.

We have made some prototypes for the gas cap but they still need testing
before we can put them up for sale on our website.

They should be ready for sale in about 2 weeks from now.

I attached a pictures of it...

We'll keep you posted about it.

Thanks again!

I keep forgetting not everyone goes to Joe's mod meet.  My original cap which was used for fitting was there decked out with the GXP logo and looked great in black.

We have to make a new design for the gas cap, we tested the second design on a 2006 Solstice here and it did not worked. The billet cap intefer with the hinge.

We have to do a new design that will be thinner to accomodate the hinge that is very close to the OEM cap already.

Sorry for the delay to get back to you about it, we have just got a Solstice in here and we'll make sure everything fits perfectly before putting the billet gas caps for sale. We'll keep you posted!

Thank again!

Are there any plans to create a REPLACEMENT gas filler door for either the Sky or Sol in billet?
Thanks,
Clif

We do not plan on producing this part now, the hinge is actually welded with the gas filler door so that would be to be a complete assy. with the hinge...

Thanks for the info.  I must have mis-understood, This is a cap to replace the OEM screw in one then?

Yeah, it basically clips right over the OEM gas cap. The original design was matching exactly with the engine bay billet caps we manufacture and sell. Here are the pictures posted earlier:
