I traded BIXBEL for an F150
« on: September 19, 2021, 11:35:54 AM »
I have been looking for a replacement truck all summer.  I have also been thinking about selling the Sol for the last year or so as I just don't drive it.  Yesterday I was going to go look at a truck and at the last moment I decided to take the Sol.   I knew with all the mods I had in it I would never see that back.  Looked at what it was worth in KBB.  I decided where in that range I wanted to be and went to look at the truck.  Liked the truck, they liked the Sol.  Offered me a little more than and gave me a deal on the truck.

Sol is gone and the truck is in my driveway.   2011 Ford F150 XTL  Extended cab, 6.5' bed, 4x4, 5 liter motor.

Looks to be in good shape.  I'll bet the Sol got better gas milage, then again with that super charger maybe not.  That truck has to be easier for you to get in and out of.

When I get the step rails on it for sure.  Right now I have to play like an Elff and crawl up into it.

Good luck with the new wheels Critter! Those older 5.0 F-150's are bulletproof, one of my employees owns one and has put it through the wringer and it just keeps going.

Not Joe but maybe my next-door neighbor.  He manages a garage for PG county and has tons of F150's and the tools for for managing them.  He just bought a new to him 16.  And we are working together to get them where we want them.

Good luck with the truck, I am sure that you are going to love it.
GJ do you think I could get enough out of my 08' to pay for a super charger for my 18' GMC truck? I can't get in the Sol right now with my back issues.  :wife:

Dammit!  Now who's going to help GJ at the DDM tent at NASSM?

Well let's see what the pain meds do and the next round of PT does. Who knows I may even try the clutch in the GXP next weekend.
