Hello from MI!
« on: October 24, 2021, 07:50:58 AM »
Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased a 2008 Brazen GXP with a Z0K suspension and GM tune. It has been a blast. Starting to get ready for winter and determine what I need to fix/update improve. The short list is:

Driver's side door actuator
Speakers (while I am there)
Maybe deadening (While I am there)
Check all the bushings and mounts
Start looking for some tire and wheels for auto crossing next season.

Looking forward to next summer already!

Car looks great and I like the gunmetal wheels, they're too heavy for autocross? Welcome to the forum Zimms!

I've never seen a brazen with the silver bits blacked out.  Really like it!  Hmmm.  This was not on my radar before...

Your car looks great, you might consider getting rid of the eyelids and dechroming the bezel inside of the headlight housings. I think the black inside of the headlight housings would look great with the darker wheels, black windshield frame and black tulip panel.

If you plan on doing autocross you should look into stiffening the rear chassis, there is a flex issue with the rear mounts on the lower control arms that doesn't lend well to hard cornering. stiffening the rear chassis is one of the cheapest suspension mods you can makes and for the cost it makes the largest impact in handling.

Maybe TS could come up with an original mod for his car just once!

Nah, that's TOO much black. And I already have the eyelids and headlight interiors painted body color. ;)

This is what a OEM black headlamp looks like.  I think these started being offered in the 2009 model year.
