Trunk lid started acting up, always gave me trouble since I owned it, and fell off a cliff recently.  This is an expedited repair so I can focus on other things, my level of care is not high. The BCM grounds a wire to pop the trunk.  I took the BCM wire C1-57 and put a push button for it to ground.  On to the next project.

Yes, just be aware of failure modes and effects of accidently popping the trunk while driving, I'll be adding an arming switch in line because I already have problems driving around with the top unlatched and finding out on on-ramps where I've added a ball detent pin to the latch handle, where if the handle is left open, the pin is clearly hanging down and I can catch it  :idk:
