Love it, Dave can correct me if I am wrong but I usually pickup 3rd around 60, and 4th a little over 100.  It sounds to me like Dave is very close to redline when he lets off the throttle, so probably passing Randy somewhere over 95 :)

The speed limit is only 35 and I would never go over the speed limit ;)

I am TOTALLY impressed with what DDM is doing with the S/C system. What are the dyno numbers on that car? I think the 2nd belt was a natural thing to do. Makes life SO much easier to adjust things, like pulley sizes. And that DDM CAI kit is probably THE nicest kit I've seen on ANY car. PERIOD! And I've seen LOTS! My car is an '04 Monte Carlo Intimidator SS with the 3.8 S/C motor. 2 belts, like the stage III kit. I've got a smaller pulley, ported throttle body and 3/4" spacer, and a CRAP K&N CAI. Almost WORTHLESS piece o tin heat shield. DDM's is sealed so complete. Makes me want to duplicate it on my Intimidator SS!

And the sound of those S/C's are GREAT, just like the turbos. NOTHING beats the sound of a boosted engine! When LadyT backs off on the throttle on Lucy, the BOV "BARKS", and that for her gives her a thrill. I was unsure of what her reaction was going to be when I 1st put on Dejon's intake, cuz I knew the noise would be MUCH greater. She LOVES the sound of the engine winding up.

Whether it's the 2.0 turbos or the 2.4 with the S/C, or my L67 winding out, hearing a blower or turbo winding out, to me, is one of the BEST sounds you can hear from a car.

Boost is a GREAT thing! Let's see some numbers Dave!

Don't worry 1KULSOL, the wait will be worth it.  I hear you have the Focuztech long tube headers also.  The install bugs were worked out on Critterman's   The photos don't do it justice.  It is freakin beautiful to see.  DDM design is awesome...

Wrinkles, what wrinkles?  If it fits my car it will fit everyone's car.  My car is the headache car, the one that needs all the tweaking to make it fit.  But it is all worth while.

Don't hold my feet to the fire, because I am not an official spokesman for DDM, but I believe the new stage II kits will have the 3 belt setup, and the enclosed air box, well I would talk to Dave about that.  At the moment it is not part of the kit, it is actually for the 2.0 turbo.

You may have to wait about 4 days for a response from Dave or Randy at DDM, they are on the way to the Texas mod meet.

OK, so what kind of horsepower comes out of the stage 3 kit?  And did anyone see the TVS 1320 blower on the saturn ion on the related videos?  It was running low 13's in the video but with that mph he should have been running mid 12's.  The 1-2 shift was killing him (babying it for longevity?) and I was hearing some wheelhop as well.

I haven't seen the video your talking about, but if it's a Black ion RL....Thats our work!!!!  And yes he has to baby it, it's severely traction limited.

[quote-Sir Randy of DDM]severely traction limited.[/quote]

That seems to be a theme.   Did get my new wheels and tires will have to give it another go and see if I can make them bite the pavement.
