Anyone still interested in the Bosch sensors?
« on: March 28, 2009, 07:42:41 AM »
I'm now down to 2 months remaining in Germany.  Does anyone want me to pick up sensors for them before I take off?  Should do it sooner rather than later to make sure things go smoothly.

So, I completely forgot the status on all of this.

Can we purchase the 2 sensors (from 2kwk4u) and 0-rings (from somewhere else) and then have westers flash the new GM tune into it?
Or would a dealer still need to update the tune?

Also, has westers developed a new tune for the upgraded sensors ?

Thanks.

Here's a couple threads that will help answer questions and refresh memories:

Again, I'm not even picking up a set of these for myself as I plan to just go with the GM Kit for starters.  When it's all said and done, you don't save much money buying the pieces all seperate anyway.  The warranty, to me, more than makes up for the price difference.

In that case i'll probably just end up buying the GM kit if I decide to upgrade at all.

I don't think I"ll be getting any as my tune has already about maxed out the turbo's efficiency.   I'm waiting for someone with an 07 Manual to get the GMPP kit so Westers can adapt my tune with the no-lift shift feature. I don't think that is worth spending the $$$ just to get.

I have a copy of the 2007 manual GMPP tune and so does Lyndon. He is just waiting for the spring thaw to do any real work with the Solstice tune, works much better if you have a car to test things on.
