Today, after reading the thread "Contacting me! I am done with the BB" begun by chuckdoc, and reading a post on that thread made by Moms Sol and I quote "How 'bout getting those Canadian brethren together for a Huge meet up there?? Or at least a regional one in one of the larger cities...". I was hit by the fact that maybe we are missing out on future members here by just reaching out, as Joe has done on this forum recruiting members from the BB and the previous GXP Owners Forum.

Well, it occurred to me after reading that thread and the remarks made by KWhale and and SHEZOOMM, that we may need to do some more recruiting on this forum by present members and quite possibly those from Canada and Alaska. Presently, I find the following Canadian members who belong to this forum (as you can see, the list has been recently updated):

What a nice gesture Ron...I see from the list that we did indeed have 1 Edmonton area member on the old forum (Windrat**Edmonton. Alberta, Canada, 08-22-2007, #1533), but I never did see any posts from him I don't think. Perhaps he left before I joined a year later. I do see the occasional Kappa on the road here in the summer (maybe about 10 sightings all summer), and if I see them parked I plan to talk to them and see if they are "forum type people" or not. If they are, I'll send them here for sure. If not, well maybe we can just have a good couple of minutes talking about our cars, and call it a day. Nothing like driving these roadsters to break the ice and get strangers talking!

Geos GXP, I added you to the list today 03-30-2009 and you joined the Solstice GXP Owners Forum on 10-15-2008 as member #2597. You were the 31st and last member that I know of from Canada. As you can see your neighbor to the North, Alaska had three on the list.

Sly Nic, from Calgary, Alberta Canada I have added you to the Canadian list of Owners per your request. The list was set up originally by myself over on the "Solstice GXP Owners Forum" to create a brotherhood or fraternity so to speak, for the members of that forum. It now lists 31 members that belonged to that forum. Per your request I added your name as the 32nd on the list (however you were not ever a member of the above mentioned forum. Hopefully others will want to be added from Canada and Alaska as we go forward. Nice to have your own community of owners.

Only 2 stinkin' Kappas in all of Alberta....For you folks in the US, Alberta is huge, like the size of Texas, and come to think of it, full of Rednecks too, but I digress.....GM must have sold more than 2 measly cars in the entire province. I already had some of Deeps cars printed up. Now all we need is the weather and some cruisin' time to find some new members!

That's actually pretty true Critter. 2 large cities, 1 getting larger city, and the rest is just a bunch of oil and gas wells and of course oil sands lol

Welcome ironside to the forum. Also, thanks for inclusion of "National Capital Region Roadster Owners" in your post above. Very informative read, to be sure, especially for people from your area. Carol and I took a two week cruise of Alaska and we spent a short time in Vancouver British Columbia taking a tour of the city prior to embarking on our Cruise of the 50th state Alaska. We both enjoyed Vancouver very much. I have added you to the first post in this thread. Glad to have all you guys and gals from the far north. I believe we are up to eight members now.
