Would you be willing to sell the tinted ones once you have replacements?

"ticketed" as in there is a law against having tinted taillights??  What if you put those LED bulbs in them?  It wouldn't be too dark to see but would still look cool up close.

Apparently there is a law against it in NY...I have no idea.  The light shines through now...it was just a guy busting my chops, and he seemed to be training another officer who got out and just stood by my passenger door.  I am pissed.

Yeah most states have some BS law about tinting lights where your lights have to be visible at some certain range and etc. It also posts a hazard where if someone rear ends you and they have a good lawyer, the lawyer can basically call you out saying your lights were tinted and it turns into it being your fault even though you got rear ended. Usually the film tint is a good way though to counter some of it since you can remove it easily if you get a ticket or anything but it doesn't look as nice as nightshade.

Yea...so on top of the ticket, I have to buy new lights, which is why I am hoping someone on here has an extra pair laying around.

Spiky, I priced out the cost of the tails before I tinted my own a few months back.  Like Filipp, I could not find a set on e-bay, but did find a few places that were selling them using google.  I think the best price I found was $107 + shipping EACH.  The most expensive was $125 + shipping each.

I don't think I bookmarked any of the sites at the time, but I will check tonight and see if I can find them when I'm on my laptop.  Don't hold your breath though, as back then I was just trying to get an idea of what it would cost if I screwed up my tails when I tinted them.

Thanks guys...I checked eBay last night and found nothing.  I found them for $117 each but it's just too much for a set of taillights.

They're for a 1976 TR6, 1976 TR7 and 1980 TR8

and isn't that what this site's all about.....MODS (can't never had too many mods)

Kidding all aside, sorry don't know of any.
