Halo Rings
« on: April 14, 2009, 09:05:46 AM »
OK I was at the Philly cheese steak run and there was a Charger there with Halo rings that were simply gorgeous, I don't really have the skills to do this but want the Halo's I found some on eBay, the guy in in Gaithersburg and they are cheap anyone want to try this.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1-PAIR-HALO-ANGEL-EYE-RINGS-HEADLIGHT-CONVERSION-KIT_W0QQitemZ320360033002QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item320360033002&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318.
I was thinking maybe buy a used headlight to play with and see what happens, I will put up the money for parts if someone has the skill.

There's a guy on the Sky forum from Jersey who does this, pretty affordable if I remember. The mods blocked him cause they considered him a vendor even though he was just a guy trying to help out some forum members because he wasn't profiting from the lights. I'll try to dig up his info for you goat. He lives in Jackson near E-Town raceway so maybe he can hook you up in June during the Formula D event.
Keep Chopping!!!

Those look cool, I don't what the diameter is for the inside of the Solstice headlight.  This is better that the neon tube as the tubes were too narrow.  I'll do it for you Lil Goat.

I have the "demon eye" halo lights and they were OK to install.  I only broke one before doing it my way (the correct way).

I wish someone would just make headlights that had like projectors, a halo ring, and maybe the Audi LED lights and sold them for a decent price say 500$ish.

The diameter is 5" on the rings, I have been looking for larger, but the orange ones I saw on and orange Charger last weekend were fantastic, if anyone has an orange car really popped on the orange.

Send Joe from JPM and email he was doing them for a while, that way more than I want to spend, seems like that was about what he charged.

Projectors aren't cheap.  Avg cost is $600.  Good luck spending only $500

I ordered a set and sent them to Joe to check them out, now we shall see what happens, for $18 I got nothing to loose. I might even do the fog lights if they work out.

There's these too.

Minimum order of 100 kits, I'll have plenty of spares if I break any.

There is no 100 kits minimum.  I order single stuff from them all the time.

As do I. I ordered just two LED strips for under the dash the other day. Haven't gotten them yet though but I did get an email that they shipped them.

Here is the link to my gallery of the install I did. The fogs have been upgraded to get rid of the yellowing effect.
