Those are pretty cool, I always like dark rims

Now we just need to talk to you about some suspension to get that wheel gap a little more appropriate  ;)

Looking forward to seeing them at Joe's mod meet in may! I know you will enjoy the new tires and the grip you will now get!

Looks good.  Got to love black rims on a silver car.  He must have took the pic before the suspension settled.

Yama is right Dave, I had just set the car back on the ground.  I hadn't even done the other side yet.  Besides,  I have to save my pennies after my last trip to Pidmont for my next trip.

I wanted to go with 265x40x18's but they wouldn't mount them.  Didn't feel like trying to find someone here who would.  Besides how do you get 4 tires, 4 rims, and a Sol to a tire shop.

If that weight is correct those are super light wheels, assuming that the tires are in the 29-30lb range, mine are 47 according to the data I have but I have never weighed them, I have picked up one of mine and a stock one sure seems like the SSR' s are more than 6 1/2 lbs lighter. I think stock wheel and tire are 52 lbs if I remeber right, tire is 29 and wheel is 23. My tires are actually 1 lb heavier than stock and wheels are 17 lbs.

Got myself a set of the critterman combo special. I think I'll paint them all black later. The stripe & hub center are too distracting. (nice & cheap though)

According to Tire Rack they are 22.5 pounds "shipping weight". http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=KZK821B&wheelMake=Kazera&wheelModel=KZ-K&wheelFinish=Black+w%2FRed+Stripe&showRear=no&autoMake=Pontiac&autoModel=Solstice&autoYear=2006&autoModClar=Base+Model&filterSize=All&filterFinish=All&filterSpecial=false&filterBrand=All&filterNew=All&sort=Brand

They really are good looking wheels; simple, not blingy, nice details. I was considering painting or powder coating a spares set of standard painted Sky wheels I have, but may buy a set of these instead.

bob,
My wheel and tire package weight 48 lbs, - shipping weight

I saw that earlier in the thread. I bought 295/30X18 Hoosier A6s on OZ Ultraleggera whhels and they had a shipping weight of 48 pounds, too. Given the tire size difference I have to assume that your tires weigh 26 pounds, yet TR shows them as 28 pounds. Whether the package is 48 or 50 pounds, a) they are certainly lighter than stock, b) MUST be better than the stock tires (they sort of suck), and c) look FANTASTIC !!!!

Check Tire Rack. LOTS of interesting choices with good prices.
