How To: Blinking Theft Deterrent LED Mod!
« on: May 15, 2009, 12:19:36 PM »
I finally finished it!  Below find a link to an exhaustive write up on my blinking theft deterrent LED mod.  I had to learn a bunch about relays, resistors and such, but in the end I know a ton more than I did and am extremely happy on how it came out.  The PDF doc has a step by step write up with pictures and a link to a Youtube video.  It was too long and involved to try to post in html.  So...

If you guys see anything in the write up that could be better, please let me know.  Also, I would love to know if any of you attempt the mod!

Now that is cool!  I know my Murano flashes a red light and appears to have alarm set even when it's not.  I like it!!

Thanks for the post and the details, job well done!!

I like the idea, I'm just a (fill in the blank) when it comes to ripping a dash board a part

Nice Job!

Gary - don't know about the Sol, but no dash ripping required or me where I put my LED.  The pieces I refer to in the write up all pop off with a screwdriver or pry bar.  I am the same organ when it comes to ripping the dash off!

ok maybe ripping was a little harsh, lol

I'll have to take a look and see how hard it would be to get in there. I do like the idea
