Lyndon, do you think it would be a significant advantage to upgrade the intercooler from stock?  I have the automatic transmission with the new GM parts, hiflow cat, and solo mach exhaust.  I will be upgrading to your new tune when you have one for me or spikey.

The intercooler will help with power on the top end, and keep the charge cooler.  I have a secret intercooler project looming that Lyndon will be helping me out with tuning for.  Nothing else can be said.  IMO, it is worth it to upgrade the intercooler.

Spiky are you going to get the GM tune or at least the parts?  Then I can get the info when your secret project is ready for release.

That plus GM parts plus Westers tweak will give us an amazing ride.

Possibly...it depends on what Westers tells me to do.

I have a bigger intercooler, guess who told me to buy it a very long time ago. Lyndon has a Dejon intercooler on his own car. I know DDM Works has an intercooler project in the works for the GXP, it is still in the Top Secret phase, ooops I guess not anymore. I know a little about what they are doing, should be a great product.

Damn it Steve if you get one that means I have to get one, stop it! Just kidding I am already in line to be a test mule for the new DDM Works intercooler, it will be manufactured by one of the top companies in the business to DDM specs, it is the same company that makes a lot of the intercoolers and radiators for the Formula D Drift cars. Dave explained the system to me and it will be like nothing else out there.

That's exactly what I am hoping.  he has hyped it up to me and I believe every word he says because he has never let us down.  I am swapping out an aftermarket one just to put this one in, and I wouldn't do that if i didn't think it would be worthwhile.

Hey, if somebody winds up with a used I/C that will fit in place without having to cut up anything (SCCA rules in my class allow I/C upgrades but no mods to make room) I would be interested in purchasing the used piece. Let me know.

ha, I have something neither one of you have, a clutch so there! I will be happy to sell my Dejon if I get a new one from DDM, the Dejon really made a big difference in low end torque you can feel it right away. On HP when Mike (Def) and I did a dyno  run, we had almost identical setups, same tune and exhaust except I had the intercooler I made 10 more rwhp. The gains from a IC are noticeable, but I think the car running cooler is worth it all by itself, well maybe not because none of us ever push our cars very hard, I know I never do.

If this intercooler is what I suspect, new clutches will definitly be needed for the 2 top gears. Wait, make that 3rd too!

Please don't ask Joe to do this I know he would figure it out some how.

I don't think you're in trouble.  It's going to be really sick looking...I have pictures that I can not share as of yet.  Trust me when I say the whole setup is really nice:)

I have one coming to me soon...along with another set of goodies.

If I'm not mistaken, and correct me if i am, the new intercooler has some connection with the manufacturer of the intercooler GM supplies with the strock GXP.  The new one will be rated to handle up to 600hp.  It will also have a slightly modified location from the other aftermarket ones.  I know on my car, the intercooler is slightly pushing on my front bumper causing a small misalignment.  We noticed it this weekend at the mod meet, and DDMWorks assured me that theirs would correct this problem.

If you have the Dejon IC and didn't cut the shroud, that will happen.  Dave and I tried to adjust your bumper to come up to the hood.  He then figured out the IC was the problem.

Yea I told the installers they had to trim it, but I guess they ignored me LOL.  I even gave them the specific trimming instructions.  That will be all cured once DDMWorks's intercooler goes in.

I didnt cut anything when i installed my DEJON IC, and that's cuz well......i didnt know you needed to cut anything.  I just used the "How-to" which was posted somewhere and everything went well.  No fitment issues at all.

Mine fits fine and I was the guinea pig, first one Dejon shipped. I did trim the shroud.
I know who makes the intercooler for DDM and don't believe they have any affiliation with GM, but I may be wrong, the GM is tube and fin, the DDM is bar and plate like the Dejon, and the Hahn and the RPI, and the Werks. The guys making the IC for DDM also make radiators, a LOT of them. They may make our radiator, I don't know. I do know they make a lot of custom intercoolers and radiators for race cars.

Hmm I thought I heard someone mention that there was some connection to GM...who knows.
