Good Afternoon  'All you All'

After signing up on this Forum about two weeks ago, thought I'd finally drop in and say hi.  Found this site by way of the GXPowners forum and noticed that most of the people on that forum moved to this one.  I met some of you on the Kerrville run, which was a lot of fun with a lot of great people.

I currently live north of SAT in the Hill Country of TX.  I own an '08 Aggressive GXP which is my love (don't tell my wife- but I think she already knows this), however my true love is my 1960 Jaguar XK150 Zagato (which by the way is in pieces until I can find the $$$ some day to restore it to it's once upon a time glory).  Meanwhile I really enjoy T-Red and drive it every weekend during top down weather or on long distance trips.

Also I just wanted to say, that reading the posts about the DashDAQ/Dashhawk was wondering if anybody thought of reconfiguring some of these device to run on a long lasting rechargeable lithium battery so the device could be wireless- hate to see a bunch of wires (GPS/DASHHawk/cell phone/radar detector, etc ) coming from my in-car plug-in power source :)

I have learned a lot just by "lurking" - Thanks to all of you who are willing to give of you time and expertise.

Welcome Aboard T-Red.  Someone else who knows more will pipe up, but I think some cabling is inevitable with the Dashhawk, due to sensor input through the OBD II port.

welcome, the dashhawk is powered by the obd2 cable that plugs into the computer. The only thing that can be done is to just hide the wireing behind some panels. Some have cut into the dash to make it look "factory". Others have mounted it so you don't see hardly any cable. The aeroforce gauges in an a piller pod is another option. there is a thread on this topic as well too. The dashhawk is a handly portable tool cable showing or not, i just think they could have made the cable thinner so its easier to tuck into gaps in the panels. I think they made it so thick so it will hold up to plugging in and out of multiple cars???

Thanks, glad to be here.  Don't see too many Skys/Solstice here in the Hill Country/San Antonio area, except at the Saturn Dealer when I get my two Saturns worked on.  In the 12 months I've owned T-Red I may have sighted 10-12 in the area.  The most was at the Kerrville Run- but then one would not expect otherwise.
