Topic: Eibach Clearance Issues

I recently installed the Eibach Pro-kit to go along w/ my new 20's.  The issue that I am running into is in the rear when on the freeway.  Any time that the freeway has a raise in level, then a drop in level, the rear of the car rubs pretty bad and has already rubbed away some of the rear wheel well (black plastic part).  I love the stance of the car, however I believe that I need to bump it up about  a 1/2".  I checked @ the auto parts store and saw two types of spring spacers.

Option 1: Clamp type that squeezes each side of the spring, uses ratchet to adjust.

Option 2: Twist in type, less adjustment but looks easier to install.

Any help would be appreciated.

Use the twist in type. That's the ones I used for the Bullrun show to get my front end up about an inch. Now I have the BC Racing Coilovers and love them. Make sure you put two on each spring. One on each side of the link you wish to lock in. This way it's more stable.

Having never used either type, would the twist in type be able to raise it only about 1/2 inch? I know you went up 1" for the show, going this high would be counter-productive for me.

I hate to state the obvious but it sounds like Eibach springs and 20" wheels were a bad choice, the spring blocks are a temporary measure at best. you need to find a real solution. Like a set of good coilovers, looks aren't everything. I would never sacrifice the way this car handles and drives for looks, and I do like 20's I run them on my truck.

try the spacers and see how it goes.  Worst case scenario get new springs or coilovers.  Im planning on replacing my GXP stockers for a GMPP kit in the near future.  We can always switch you to the GXP springs and shocks.  That way youll get N/A Z0K spring rates with more road clearance.
