Topic: A Visit from Norm- Fitting the Formula Hood

Last night, Norm showed up at my apartment with a special delivery...the Formula Hood.  He hung for the night and began fitting the hood in the morning for the vertical doors.  He also had to trim out the ram air box because it didn't fit with my DDMWorks Mach II CAI.  Included with the hood is the top part of the airbox that mates to the stock unit for the ram air effect.  The hood weighs 37 pounds, which is about half the weight of stock if I am not mistaken.  It will go in for paint at the end of this week, with the red stripes being added to the heat extractors.  There are small rails that channel the water away from each extractor.  Also, the part of the hood closest to the windshield is slightly raised to hide the wipers...very cool detail.  Here are some teaser pictures of Norm in action, fitting the hood.





You can see the rails that channel the water away in this picture..notice he started trimming the ram air shroud so it would fit with the DDM CAI

I gotta tell you...Norm just left and I drove around the block...the hood looks mean as hell from the inside...I feel like I'm driving a drag car  LOL.  I love it!!!

Not really of fan of the hood but it looks very hot on your car.  Can't wait to see it with the red stripes.

I wasn't at first either, but the black paint will hide some of the "extreme", and the dark red stripes will make it unique.  I have seen a painted one, just not on the car, and it does tone it down a bit.  I just think the hood screams Intruder!!

Looks better on the car than the early pics we saw of it. Can't wait to see it with some paint!

Yeah I am really liking the look Spiky, I think it goes well with Norm's front lip and the general outline of your car. Just makes it look alot more mean, plus you get a functional hood which is great.

Very nice and unique!  That's smart about the channel for the water and I'd be curious how much cooler it will be under the new hood.  Go Norm!

After driving around with it for a day, I also noticed that the intake screams now...the sound goes through the openings and you can really hear the car sucking in air...it's awesome!!!!!

Your supercharger would be heard three blocks away.  LOL 

It is a very noticeable difference in the volume of the intake, and I have the sealed DDMWorks one.
