Sounds like you guys had a good time. Sure wish the BMW club didn't have an event on the same day. Maybe next time.

Ben, I had the 8gig card and card reader with me :banghead:
Your driving is improving at every event. Good Job!

Here are a couple runs to show you guys what you missed. You see how tight the slalom was, crazy.

I was looking at schedules, and the porsche club is back in Sykesville on Sept. 19th. Unless I find a better event I plan on attending that one.

CDC has another event next Saturday, but I don't think I can make that one.

I'm not going to be able to make the one next Saturday either, wife has a party and if I want to play, I have to make her happy and go with her :)

Same here... we're HOSTING a party.  Even though Harry Grove is right up the road from me.  Sunday is a test and tune day, though.  I'm kicking around the idea of checkin' that out...

I'm out - my parents are in town.  Also, my kid's soccer and baseball seasons are starting up again so I will be less likely to make any event for a while.

Have fun if you go!

CDC has some pics up. Since they're already on the WWW I'll post them here, if you want them off let me know.

Critter you need to learn how to make her miserable when you go with to parties.  This way she will be happy when you are not there and you can then go and play.  Then again I'm single so what the hell do I know.

I'll take 53 out of 81. Not bad seeing as I only had a few non-dnf runs. Learning the courses is killing me. The lack of a decent amount of time to walk the course didn't help either.

Next stop: PCACHS on the 19th.

I think I ended up 69th, not bad for the first time out, and look at Big Ben (yes we can see you now) in 3rd!  Must have been my extra weight providing traction on the right side

You know, I'm kinda amazed at my result.  Don't know if that means I'm crazy (I am the guy who spun out!) or what, but given I have had the car only 5 months and never autocrossed, I'm kinda happy!  But, following up on 2kw4u - I agree, what amazing cars!  I give a lot of credit to my machine - no struggle at all to zip it around the track.  And it handled the quick jog in the middle without a hitch.  And it's stock but for the backbone.  Not bad for a $30k hot rod!!  Oh, and Ben's advice has been wonderful!

You guys should feel good.  Your times were close to the mean (the top of the bell curve).

For the first few times out in your first campaigns in the Kappas, without R comps. and autox specific alignment tweaks, that's damned good!

Generally, it only goes up from here.  Next goal:  go for times "above the fold" (better than the mean time for the field).  Each of you has it in you to do that, next time out.

I only finished on the podium because my fast Cobra compadres were at Sykesville.

But I guess choosing the event strategically based on competitors in the field is part of the game, too, right?

Well, at the meet on the 19th I'll finally be sporting a new alignment. Looking forward to seeing how it changes the car's feel.

I need to remember what the middle pedal is for, I know how to use the right one, but keep forgetting the middle one!
