Topic: gxp does not turn off ac under load, can fix with tune?

So, I've been  told most sophisticated ecu's will disengage the ac compressor when the engine goes under load, "quick" over at the dd board said it happens on one of his cars when the car is in open loop...that makes sense

anyway, I loaded the pid in my dd, confirmed that I was reading when the compressor was on or off and set out to see when our ecu commanded the compressor disengage

sad to say, it never happens in my gxp, I doubt there's something wrong with mine individually.

I am wondering if this command can be added to a tune, it seems simple enough but since I have never done a tune or seen someone write one I can hardly say with conviction

so I am wondering if lig  goat can ask, or someone in here who's writing their own if they think the tune can include that command

first, my dd says the compressor is still engaged, second, yes, cold air is blowing

actually this is why I wanted to monitor the event in the first place as it seemed to me my compressor always blew cold air under wot and yet when i manually turn the comrpessor off I can feel the differance, could not feel a differance when wot so I wanted to see if it really happened

as I first suspected, it does not

my 85 audi turbo had a kickdown switch under the gas pedal, shut off the a/c and changed the shift points

You may want to ask your service department about that one or small dealer on the BB.  Mine has always cut out before I got the Westers and after.  I will check HPTuners to see if there is a bit for AC tonight.

Stock 2007 GXP Auto and it cuts the A/C compressor off when I go WOT.  The cold air stops blowing for a few seconds then cold air again.
