It was time for taillights to be blacked out.

Sorry for my car been so filthy :( I wash my car at every 3-5 days but after 1 day maximum 2 my car ends up in this condition because I live in a filthy city :(
Still not very convinced about those, I don't like the "yellow" feel of it, I'm thinking to replace the films with darker ones to get rid of the yellow but at least I got rid of the blinky look of the tailights.

To be done:
- painting the wheels and calipers
- painting doorhandles (still afraid to remove them)
- custom mesh grille and custom eyelids for front and back lights.
- find a solution for the back Opel badge because it is "raised" and I don't know if the "support" is a different material like a foam which I can remove along with the badge or is the body shape embossed. (any advice will be appreciated)

Kelu

I don't know how much shipping would be for you, but I had mine done at
http://www.jonstintedtails.com
I got the medium tint and love it.

You could exchange some emails with Jon and see what he says about cost.

Before

After

As far as the raised area, someone had theirs removed on their sky. Body shop cut it out, then repaired the hole to make it look like it was never there.  I am sure that was at least $1000 worth of work though.

Elff I know you taillights and loved them. Blacking mine to Jon is not an option because shipping mine will take 2-3 weeks back and forth and costs about $100-$200, mine were done with film and thinking to try another one, more darker this time, because costs only $30 including installation and takes only 30-60 minutes to be done.
I sprayed my center stoplight and backing light and they end up being nice and love them but I was afraid to do same with stoplights and decide to go with stickers because can be easily removed.
Elff happens to know if Jon spay them or is with sticker?

About back opel badge based on what you are saying seems that the body panel is embossed and then I will not spend too much on getting rid of it and I think I will paint it and that's all about it.

Jon paints the taillights.
Mine cost $125 as I paid for faster return shipping and insurance.
I sent them to Jon on Monday and got them back on Friday.

It only takes him one day of work. So it's a matter of how fast the shipping is.
When I get the DDM intercooler, I am going to send him my front foglights.
I figure, while I have the front bumper off, I might as well do everything at the same time.

Kelu,  On your before pictures it looks like your headlights are clear.  The Redline and special editions in the US have smoked headlights.  Is this not the case with the Opals?  I like your blacked out grill.  Looks great.

The Opel headlights are not smoked like the US Redlines.

A very long waited component of my blacking mod has arrived.

Norm's Rear Fascia Diffuser went right away on my GT.

Sorry for the dirt, my car was washed only 12h ago  :barf:

I took new images with a better camera if someone wants to reference.

The stop lights will be redone with spray pretty soon.

O hell yea and you can order them through Solo.  I am going to have a white one made for mine.  It will be on before the Spring.  With a quad tip exhaust, it really sets the back end off.
Norm makes killer stuff.

Kelu,
I know the front bumper is pretty easy to remove and install.  How does the Rear Valance attach?
Is it just a couple of screws as well?

I know I have said I will take some pictures but because I had only one friend helping me (actually I was helping him) I couldn't let him to do all the work, especially we did it in the rain.

I rated replacing the rear fascia one of the simple things, more simple than taking front bumper off. There only 2 screws which are mounting the backup stoplight, the valance is attached only with clips.
You take all clips out and pull the fascia and goes off. Installing the Norm's is pretty simple using same holes and clips, 100% bolt on, no trim required and it goes perfectly in the place. I had some headache because the backup stoplight doesn't go perfectly in it's place, in the final we left it as it is in the picture, something like 2-5mm off from one side.
All my operation was done on the wheels and in the rain, if you can lift the car you even enjoy this operation.

Soon I will post picture with them on the car. Price was more than decent and took only 2 hours to be done.
