Sway bar info
« on: August 28, 2009, 02:58:54 PM »
1) As some may know (or not) Eibach has sway bars for the 2.4 Kappas. These bars are upgrades to the FE2 system and are essentially the same rates as the FE3 bars. Eibach does not have bars that are upgrades from the FE3 system. Spoke with Eibach about this last fall. At that time they did even KNOW that there was a LNF FE3 Kappa! Thus, no bigger bars, and they said they had no plans to even look into it.
2) FE3 bars are about 18-20% stiffer than FE2 bars.
3) GXP/Z0K bars are about 18-20% stiffer than FE3 bars.
4) Just received a call back from Addco 30 minutes ago. They, too, were unaware that FE3 existed, and thus the bars they have produced for 2.4 kappas are basically the same situation as Eibach. You read that right, Addco has SOLID bars for the 2.4. We discussed GM's current LACK of GXP/Z0K bars and the fellow at Addco was quite interested. I was told that they would look at the bending patterns to see what they may be can do for bars for the FE3 cars. When he knows he is supposed to call me back. If this happens, there may be a solution for those that want stiffer than FE3 rear bars.
5) No updates on GXP/Z0K rear bars.
6) The Addco rep said that Saner IS still in business. THAT was a surprise.  sanerperformance.com  Not known for being the fastest communicator, but worth a try.

So, that's it. When/if I get more I'll share it.

MEH !!!!! Maybe not so much. One call last year and a REAL lucky "get" today. I'm going to take a shot at Saner, but not going to hold my breath while I do it.

Somewhere I think it said 28mm (front). Bottom line, ADDCO told me it was, and did admit it was for the 2.4 platform. ADDCO, KW, and Eibach ALL spec 2006-2007 Sols and THAT is the point at which people should know it's not for the FE3 cars.

I was reading about FE2 / FE3 / Z0K back and forth but I still can't figure out where I'm at.
As far as I know Opel GT has no optional features when ordering, they come fully loaded (except rear wing and of course onstar).
Can someone state where Opel GT situates? Has FE2, FE3 or Z0K?

I know for the moment I better hold the bars and get DDM Probeam but I really like to know what plans I should do about upgrades of my car.

Your car is the SAME as the Sky Redline which has the FE3 suspension (same as the Sol GXP).
